My son has been a gambling addict for 10 years. I have run his bank account successfully for the last 5 years. What has enabled his gambling recently, is his ability to open/re open a Revolut bank account (asking friends and family to transfer monies into this account). It seems that it is virtually impossible to delete a Revolut account. Every single transaction on the account will be for gambling, adding up to thousands of pounds. Does anybody have any advice or experience of dealing with Revolut for on line gambling. I know that there is a 48 hour self exclude on the app, but this is really not the answer
Hello dimdan
Thank you for posting on our Forum. It sounds like you have had many years of suffering with your Son's gambling problem.
I am not familiar with the Revolut Bank Account, however, please feel free to contact one of our Advisers available 24/7 on our Helpline 0800 8020 133 or by using our LiveChat Option. We can discuss and make sure that you are aware of Self Exclusion and Blocking Software for online gambling.
You will also get support and advice from Gam-AnonÂ

We look forward to hearing from you.

Revolut are not keen on closing any accounts but it can be done by having no outstanding / pending fees and all of that closing down is done on the actual app. There is also a non gambling funktion (button) on Revolut but I am unsure how well it works. There are both real and virtual cards and you can make a bunch of them so be aware of that. There are many of these companies starting similar services so policing this can be quite a task. Â
