We CAN and we WILL - Join the 100 day and 2017 Challenges!

Change; your honesty is commendable and thank you for coming forward and showing true character. You've had a relapse, and, over the years, I have too. Several times.

I assume you are going to do two things now, in parallel. One, start again GF - this time, harder. And two, take an extra step this time to help you, be it practical or other support. Maybe consider what the trigger was?

You are very much part of our team, Change. And back on the GF challenge. Here's to a stronger, wiser 2nd attempt!

Another day free. Had urges so stayed busy. Lots of stress at home with the kids of school. I would definitely have gambled without my blocks

Good evening all.Another day GF. Really sad to read a couple have relapsed. . The fact you have told us shows the commitment to your wish to be gambling free. It is easy to post you have not gambled, when you have, but by doing so you are kidding no-one but yourself. You may feel you have let the group down, but I am sure everyone agrees that you haven't, and although you may now be a few days behind the rest of us, you can and will still meet and beat the 100 day challenge.

So, here we are on the first day back to work for many of us, and I hope it wasn't too bad! I had a quick pint on the way home, in a very nice pub overlooking the Thames, and noted someone doing his *nuts* on the fruity. Then he left, losing, in a huff. In the old days, I'd have been tempted, but didn't go near it. I have to say, I was bored just looking at it. As it happens, he came back and shuffled more notes in it. Suffice to say, I left shortly after with this loser still on it; he was starting to smack the buttons and those of us in the pub noticing clearly thought - sad loser.

In the past, that might have been us. However, we are GF today, and choose to be tomorrow. We are not that person in the pub, or that person counched over a screen, or that person clutching that betting slip or being smirked at by bookies' staff. WE ARE GAMBLING FREE. WE HAVE CHOSEN LIFE!

Thank you everyone for checking in and your kind comments, too. We are all in this together and although haven't got so much free time, and so cannot always respond to our posts, I will always update our rollcall every day. Please, keep GF; today AND tomorrow.

After a few days, the Lord called to Adam and said, "It is time for you and Eve to begin the process of populating the earth so I want you to kiss her."

Adam answered, "Yes Lord, but what is a kiss?"

So the Lord gave a brief description to Adam who took Eve by the hand and took her to a nearby bush. A few minutes later, Adam emerged and said, "Thank you Lord, that Was enjoyable."

And the Lord replied, "Yes Adam, I thought you might enjoy
that and now I'd like you to caress Eve."

And Adam said, "What is a 'caress'?"

So the Lord again gave Adam a brief description and Adam went behind the bush with Eve. Quite a few minutes later, Adam returned, smiling, and said, "'Lord, that was even better than the kiss."

And the Lord said, "'You've done well Adam. And now I want
you to make love to Eve."

And Adam asked, "What is 'make love' Lord?"'

So the Lor d again gave Adam directions and Adam went again to Eve behind the bush, but this time he reappeared in two seconds.

And Adam said, "Lord, what is a 'headache'?"

P.S. I've been reading your thread Moorey, and you've got to really WANT this; don't let us down - it really has to be a ban on ALL gambling to succeed.... prove to us you really want to do this.

I think my earlier post on my diary may have been misinterpreted by a few of you...

I was merely stating that I had money to gamble with, if I wanted to go down that route....

The point is that I don't!!!

I've had every reason to go and choose to gamble over the last few days, but the point is that I'm starting to lose interest. Those urges aren't quite as big as they once were.

I'm not stupid enough to know that they won't possibly come back, but by then I should have clocked a fair few days under my belt and I'll be more and more determined to succeed as each day passes.

I won't let you down Mixer and the rest of the 32!

I wouldn't have joined the challenge otherwise. I know I can do it. I know I will do it!

That's really good to hear, Moorey, I did have my concerns and good to learn that you truly are resolved. This group is becoming a very tight knit one and we need to have as many of us GENUINELY with the full intent to see out these 100 days.

It's important you are part of this group. As a late arrival to it, I did 'um and ahh' a bit, I must admit. Remember: today, you choose not to gamble.

GavinB - hope you're OK; please let us know how you're getting on, else, for the group's integrity, I will 'rest' you from the group.

Checking in to confirm 3rd of January was a Gamble Free day for me as I continue to move towards my goal of 100 days.

Checking in, a month gamble free, life ain't great but it would be a whole lot worse if I was still gambling. Just remember the safest way to double your money is to fold it over once & put it in your pocket. Stay safe everyone.

That's the way, LMH and why not ban yourself from these parasitic online sites? K9, I believe, is the software you need. It's all in the requisite section on these forums. You're in this for the long term ... right? 🙂
