Hi was just wondering if anyone has any help or advice on what steps/ processes to take to help me through the early stages of overcoming my addiction. I have contacted the councillor's that gamcare put me in touch with, but im on a waiting list with a minimum 4 week wait. As you will know 4 weeks can be a long time for a gambling addict. Just wonderd if anyone has any things i could try to get me started eg diaries, setting goals, coping methods. Any help would be much appeciated

Hi mickeyblue, welcome to the forum.A good start would be starting a recovery diary on the forum.its a great way to express your feelings during recovery and get help and advice from other people.

Reading other members diaries is great too.you will soon realise your not alone in this fight and you will gain a lot of information to help you along the way.

I am 69days gamble free thanks to this forum board.im on it everyday.it keeps me focused on my recovery and has been so much help.everyone here is here to help.you can do it!
