Oldham I must have scrolled past your comment by mistake, I need to physically go into the shop and tell them not to let me in for it to work, unfortunately I have self excluded from places and tried my luck and walk into those places to carry on gambling I need to know 100% that I'm not allowed back in! And yes CW I have set up direct debit into a savings account and am banning myself from all local bookies also using a card where I can't take cash out of the wall! 😀

I can't imagine a alcoholic watching videos of people getting drunk........ It sounds like torture to me.

Maybe a have a search for some gamblers recovery stories.

It's absolutely pathetic I'm just gonna keep myself super busy today and not go on YouTube how strage, even after all the things gambling my own money has done to me I'll sit there and watch other people lose there money! It does kind of put things in perspective like a guy on this video rinsed £1500 in about 20 minuets and in my head I was like walk away walk away because that could have easily been me in there!

Hey Harry, I've been where you are, staying up late watching Poker highlights when I've been trying to quit. You have got to keep yourself busy with positive things! Gym, study, whatever.

Hi Harry , yep I did the same for a while when I first gave up , I had a programme recorded about high st bookies in which it showed guys playing Fobt's ( my downfall ) , I watched it it a few times to see how I felt about them , then I realised I really didn't want them in my life , even on TV , so deleted and moved on ! .

Don't cling to something that just wants to put you in a bad place , as we've said Family and career will suffer if it continues !.

Your doing well fella , so keep racking up those day's !

all the best !

Alan

Harry , have you thought that maybe your not ready to give up or that you just don't want to ?

" No longer will I be sucked into the bookmaker trap " your words one week ago , your barriers shouldn 't need to be put up , they should already be there , every minute of every day at least until you get some control of your life back , you were skint last week or so you said so youv'e got the money to gamble from somewhere ? and just think , you'll get paid at the end of the month so how longs that gonna last you this time ? .

No apologies for what I've just said to you this time Harry , remember the future , your partner , your career ? , time to have a rummage around and find a pair mate !!.
