WEEK 23. DAY 158 (GAMBLE FREE).

Thanks Dark Place and Sandra for your kind comments.

I mentioned earlier.....Time for my July mini goals:

MINI GOALS:

1. To continue to pay all bills.

2. To continue to budget wisely.

3. To make sure I relax in the evenings.

4. To pay the full balance on my credit card.

5. To enjoy what little treats I can now afford.

I usually stick to five, so the above will be fine to be getting on with between now and next pay day in July. They keep me motivated they do and I like a challenge anyway.

Offsky now, so tired.

Take care all and remain strong and gamble free.

Feb - very grateful to be gamble free on "The Bright Side of the Road".

24 WEEKS 160 DAYS "It's another week's "NO" (to GAMBLING).

Last night, I took a look back at my bank statements from January until now. There were a few things I got from doing that.

1. How quickly and how much money I could place on one bet.

2. How embarrassing it was to see.

3. How I had appeared to lose all value of money.

4. How when I stopped mid Jan, no online betting transactions.

5. How I have been able to use my card again on a daily basis.

6. Being in credit all the time, with no overdraft.

7. Seeing lots of purchases and all bills being paid on time.

8. Knowing that the money in my bank is mine - not overdraft.

I felt this was a good little exercise to do and I would recommend it. Whilst I believe my glass is always half full, it acts as a good reminder of how bad gambling was for me. It is also a good deterrent never to be in that position again.

Another lovely weekend planned with my sis and friends - out for an Italian meal this eve then girlie afternoon out tomorrow, drinks, food and singer! What better. I have Monday off too so no need to be up early and rush home from my sisters. Happy Days. Oh! and Wimbledon watching at my leisure!!

Have a good weekend all and remain strong and gamble free.

Feb - Feeling content on "The Bright Side of the Road".

hi Feb

longtime since i posted on your diary, its really great to see your ding so well and starting to enjoy life. i often look back at my bank statement and gain tremendous satisfaction not seeing loads and loads of online betting transactions and only normal things listed there. I agree its good therapy 😉 take care of yourself and your soul because gambling is the devil and wants it for himself. Dark Place

WEEK 24. DAY 162.

A funny thing happened to me last night - was sat in my sisters after having a lovely afternoon out having a few drinks. A betting ad came on the tv - one that I had never been with before, offering a free bet. For a split second, I thought "I could download that on my phone If I wanted to". Of course it wasnt what I wanted and I quickly said to myself "I wiill only lose anyway". It was just a bit strange as this has happened once before in the same situation! Thankfully, sense prevailed!!

Today instead, I am power walking to Dobbies with my sis to purchase some new gardening gloves and a cushion to kneel on whilst weeding - excited!!

Take care all.

Feb - All green fingered on "The Bright Side of the Road".

Hi LF,

Hope that you had a good weekend, bit of gardening by the sounds of things, me too!! But it beats being a slave to the gambling, well done and have a great week.

Hey Feb,

Very well done for resisting that "great offer" on the ad, they still do my head in as well as constant e-mails. But as time goes by, they do not interest me at all.

Hope you having a good day gardening and enjoying your day off:)

Take care and keep going

Sandra
