After numerous attempts to stop online gambling (sports) I’m currently 65 days into my journey.

As many people say the urges do get less over time but do return when triggers come up e.g. the start of the football season.

I personally use a family photo I look at when my urges come. I also put the amount I would have gambled each week into a separate bank account. It makes me visibly see how the ‘odd bet’ here and there adds up.

@pontefract-pigeon  Well done.  That is real progress.

I keep a picture on my phone home screen that I took when I was feeling my worst due to gambling.  It is a great prompt not to use my phone to gamble online.

Keep up the good work!

2 months in the bag. Awesome work. Love the idea of the family photo. I got pictures of my dog made up for my apartment. He’s with my ex now and he’s what keeps me going. If I gamble and lose my place I won’t see him.

Great work again, stay strong 💪
