Hi all,
Day 5.
I have just been reading the forum and stumbled across an article which I am going to post on my diary. I will read this article every day to remind me exactly what my stupidity is risking. Thank you RCG for posting it on the forum.
Sadly, I can see so much of myself in this article. Although I may not have lost on this scale it still amounts to thousands of pounds.
I am more determined than ever to beat this awful illness once and for all.
Best wishes to all.

Day 6,
I've just re-read the article. I am determined and focused. One day at a time. Blocks in place. 1 week tomorrow. Now I need to make sure that it is the first of many.
I hope that everybody is having a good, gambling free day.
Best wishes

Hi No More,
Thanks for posting that article it just shows how quickly an addiction can get a hold of us and spiral us out of control. I was in the Army 7 years and I have gambled 8 years. I had to spend my all my Army redundancy on paying debts off when I finished my service in December 2012.
I am now gamble free and have been for 136 days. I hope you stay focused and just keep strong mate because soon you will see how not gambling will be so much better for you. It takes time but stick with it.
All the best on your recovery and well done with the 6 days so far. Once again Thank You for posting that article 🙂
Ricky
I can relate to that article too. Keep up that determination and focus. I know how deep one can go with this problem and it sneaks up on you.
Day 11,
Keeping strong and focused. Good to be in double figures. I hope that everybody is having a good, gamble free day.
Best wishes to all.

Keep it going, just read that article, horrendous! I've 2 young boys and was heading down the same route, lost all my savings and a bit of debt but i finally stopped 4 months ago and have been clean since. All i can say is what everyone else has said, life is so much better without gambling. Keep taking one day at a time and keep praying even if believe in God or not!

Day 27,
The weather is miserable but my spirits are far from it! It will be 4 weeks tomorrow since my last bet. Feeling a little stronger each day but not getting in the slightest complacent as I am all too aware of the dangers of doing that.
I hope that everybody has a great, gamble free weekend.
Best wishes to all.
Dave
