Day 25,

Hey Charlotte ye I am fine and still gamble free. Thanks for posting. I haven't been on for a while just because I was off until wednesday and was busy. Then work has been quite busy also. I am now home for another weekend so thought i would pop on to update my diary.

I had quite a big urge today to go gamble in London as I was driving home then I just said to myself well if I don't gamble i can see my missus on her lunch break because I finished early this morning. So i drove past and managed to get home just in time to spend the hour lunchbreak with my missus:).

Hope everyone on here is staying strong, have a good weekend.

Regards

Ricky. 🙂

Hi Ricky

Good to see your still focissed and remainng bet free!

I reckon that must have felt pretty good going home to spend lunch with the misses instead of going there and feeling all the dread again, a huge WELL DONE!

Keep going Ricky, your really doing this!

Great to hear that you were able to make the right choice on your way home. I expect that your missus enjoyed that hour too.

Life is far too short to be spent gambling.

So let's not gamble any more, eh?!

Day 26,

Hey everyone thanks for all your posts and kind words of support means a lot.

Ye we can all stay gamble free together and all support each other on here with advice on how we all cope without gambling and what we have in place to stop it together we can all beat this horrible disease.

Hope you all have a brilliant weekend make the most of the days instead of wasting it sat in a bookies or gambling somewhere.

Stay strong

regards

Ricky 🙂

Day 29,

I am a very happy chappy today. As i found out I got the result I was after in the army I got redundancy. (everyone probably thinking I'm mad) But I have been wanting to get out the army for some time now and when this opportunity came along I had to apply for it. Now I will be out the army in December with a lump sum that will clear all my gambling debts and more and set me and my soon to be wife up for a new start.

With the way I am going gamble free I am so determined it is like I have been given a second chance to live a happy life and enjoy it. This is definitely a step in the right direction and an assist on my road to recovery. Thanks everyone for your support 🙂 I will do my best to support and advice anyone who needs it like I did when I was at my all time low.

stay strong

Ricky over and out 🙂

Day 31 or 1 month whichever way you look at it,

Hi everyone im still going strong. Got alot on with the army at the moment so finding it hard to get away and get online. I found out i can take my laptop to the course im going on and they have free wifi in the naafi so it means i can come on here in the evenings when i have finished and hopefully use the chat and show some support 🙂

I am feeling really positive at the moment so many things to look forward to and none of which are gamble related. I am trying to leave gambling in the back of my mind because i am so determined to not gamble again i have to much going for me and i would be stupid to give it all up and for nothing. Well hope you all staying strong I will be on most evenings work depending and how tired i am.

Bye for now

Ricky over and out 🙂

Day 33,

Well the weekend is going OK due to a course I can't enjoy time at home with my missus so bit miserable. But the course isn't that bad and i should be able to go home next weekend which would be nice. Managed to watch the England game last night what a result was well happy I think it is the first time I have watched an England game without a pint lol.

The no gambling is going well and I got my result for the redundancy. Alot of positives to keep me away from the gambling demons which is good. I haven't much money these days anyway because I am paying for all the damage i caused by gambling. But that should all be paid off by December if I stick to tight budgeting and well away from gambling :).

Hope you all are enjoying the weekend and staying strong gamble free.

Thanks for your comments everyone on my wall always cheers me up when I get positive comments Blondie and davina nice to know I am inspiring others who are starting their road to recovery. Just remember we all had to start there once upon a time.

Ricky over and out day 33 🙂
