Hope you're alright there big fella. The tests are probably unusual because they've found a heart of gold in there. Whatever life throws at you now Duncan you can handle it, get the tests out the way, take your medication, follow the advice, enjoy every day. You've come so, so far in your recovery and the way you live your life now that nothing will get in your way. Take care, fingers crossed.

Steve

DMac,

Over a thousand posts on your diary. What a tremendous effort and a true reflection of your non-stop commitment to turning your life around. I am lucky that I have been able to read your diary from the start and see the fine progress you continue to make.

Sorry to hear about the health issues but I imagine you to be as strong as an ox not just physically but mentally.

Tomso.

Today I had more blood tests, tommorrow I see the doc again, to set out a plan of action, today I have started to educate myself as to what I can do to better look after myself to ensure I can keep enjoying life to it's full potential.

Read alot of diaries yesterday, two new members stories mirrored my own, I hope they find the wealth of support and help I to get.

tomorrow we are well sarah is going to speak to the rescue were our hovis is from and see if we can adopt one of the 3 newly advertised whippets as a companion for hovis, so fingers crossed we may soon have the pitter patter of 4 more feet about the house.

So today a measured approach taken, boasted by the fabulous support I have to strengthen my resolve forwards I drive, never back .

Hi Duncanmac

Fantastic effort with ur diary over a 1000 posts and supported so many more since the start of us recovery , so much positivity u bring to this site and lead the way as a shining example to us all

As this site is ever changing people takin different paths it's down to us to keep flying that flag and showing the way , I will always remember the words of thought u left me when I nearly left myself , who will be there for that person who is need of help just like someone was there for me , so I thank u for that it made a huge difference and had a massive influence on my decision

I really hope all well goes ok today at docs and am sure it will , out of everything u av done this year the effort and hard work u av put in , thoughts will be with u

Evening diary.

Thanks for all the support, mr. I.b, I do look forward to working with you my friend, my reason simple, I am a compulsive gambler, something that took me to my darkest, most tormented, battered, soulless, lifeless state were my addiction had pitted it's battle to destroy my existance.

From the depths of despair I found recovery and from that I crave, am all consumed by this new found thirst to live in harmony with my addiction, knowing I cant be cured means to me I won't be leaving any stones unturned in my crusade, my quest to "abstain and maintain"

Watching stand up to cancer, something we can relate to very much, to have something within we did, nor do not want or deserve.

Duncs humbled, stepping forward never back.

no bet today.

Hey Duncs

Chugging along the canal sounds great...was down one today in fact with dots.

I know Skipton well....lovely part of the country and great fish n chips..plus home of the original calender girls..im sure it was Skipton's WI or something.

Am hoping all goes well with the docs and they get to the bottom of whats going on......

There is a whole cyber world of support here for you and between us all we can cure anything...

Can't wait to see if you get a pal for Hovis...could this be Warberton ?.lol

Biggest hugs to you and watching closely as you and AN

put your heads together and open up new worlds.

R and D xx

Morning diary.

just a quick update regards my health, yesterday at the docs, I explained my family history and was promptly sent for an ecg(for peace of mind) monday afternoon I have to go back and will be prescribed what I need to *** on with living.

Funny feeling I have, to be under the microscope, I don't aside from the aching body feel unwell, so today I will just park it till monday, then rearmed move on.

I have so much to prove to myself and what is turning out to be a great boss, I will be throwing myself fully at it's mercy next week.

Flagg's fantastic challenge has come at a great time for a lot of different reasons, mine simple another focus in my quest.

"abstain and maintain"

today I won't be chancing my arm, joe is performing at a literary festival, he also has secured a column in our local paper for his collective's work.

So the odds are again no temptation.

Enjoy the weekend gamcarers.

Duncs stepping forward never back.
