Hi Duncan,

Best way to send my congratulations. Still reading not posting. A very well done sir. This post proves how far you have come and you are determined and not afraid to share your feelings. Dare I say a little like myself.

I am glad you liked the stuff. Pretty basic but we will be moving on. Once again thank you and massive praise. Keep on believing.

Hi Duncan,

Thanks for your post today, I never really thought about it like that.. Guess I was too busy thinking further ahead till January but yes, three months I guess is quite an achievement given that I had this addiction for over 7 years.. Yes, I will take a step back today I think and reflect on that! Thanks 🙂

And what can I say about you sir! 9 months, well seriously well done, and still a solid poster on here so really really good job, it's people like you that keep me coming back here for more! And there are lots of good people here too!

Keep on, another 9 months I'm sure... Have a great day today! 🙂

Evening diary,

Had a day of sorting niggling things out today, joe is still to recieve his financing for uni, so rationally made sure it is in the process of being done.ticked off done, finally got my p45 from last job, how the mind of some folk work I will never understand, still not looking back, sad man really, so my son will be more self sufficient and I will recieve a bumper pay packet, happy to facilitate some debt with.

All topped off with a smile, today I found myself spirited further and in a festive mood, thanks flagg lol !!!

To end I recieved yet more intresting links from the honourable mr. B, to which I know will only aid this mans quest "abstain and maintain"

To which delights me no end.

More blood tests in the morning before heading to work.

All importantly this was broadcast due to todays fact

No Bet today

Duncs stepping forward never back.

(still humming that carol thanks lol)

Hi Duncan

A big thank you for your recent posts on my diary.

As I said to you 9 months ago before my big slip you have a great perception of life and your straight-talking no-nonsense approch is invaluable to us.

Congratulations on 9 months - look forward to the anniversary.

Best

Folks your words astound me at times, inspired I will forge on.thankyou.

Afternoon diary,

Had another lightbulb moment today, a combination of rachel's humour (keep bringing it,;) ) and steve and marks diaries.

I take honour from my defeat.

In life we all of us hate to lose, I today can with total honesty tell the world and all that's in it that gambling beat me, I lost , we played hard, a battle of wills and it had me licked.

The lightbulb on !! I accept this fully.

In my life I will continue to battle, yes scared, a bit bruised, lighter in finances but I can see now today, I accept I won't win them all, but I will endevour to learn from them all I can

So today I state " I duncan compulsive gambler accept with honour my defeat."

To all gamcarers, one day at a time life through abstinence we can only better ourselves, and make all others feel it too.

Duncs compulsive gambler No bet today, stepping forward never back

hey Duncs!!.....just seen your earlier post

on mine....

A heartwarming story to warm your cockles! ...up here in the land of manchester...2 guys who work full time in the week have started their own community project in Moss side called...The Moss Cider project...have their own facebook page and everything and loads about it on google

All you have to do is go scrumping for apples round manchester, bring them along and they will make you cider!! l

They do this on old stagecoach waste land all buildings demolished which originally they wanted as orchard..now with the help of a big apple press and a whole heap of community spirit...they are doing great..even had a slot on radio 4 !!

Look out for any apple presses on *******..lol...cottage industry here we come...

hugs

Hi Duncs,

I did laugh at your post on my diary... It sounds like hovis is a free spirit one not to be tamed or trained, so the whistle goes away and you better keep those legs limbered up for playing catch with him ;).

Hope your feeling dapper today, how did the tests go ?

Loved your last post but then I always have been inspired when reading your diary.

Keep on running... HOVISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS..

Morning diary.

Had more blood tests yesterday have to wait for the results for a few days, and got to wait till tuesday to wear a monitor for a day,so plodding on, weird thing is as I said all the blood pressure stuff only came as a result of my trying to establish what makes my bones ache so much, feel like a barometer lol today wet and damp and I feel a hundred lol!!

I am sure we will get to the bottom of it and rest assured I would be beaten.

Spoke to a fella from my Ga, we are meeting for a cuppa later, put some ideas, thoughts out there, I so enjoy the workout my brave is getting, my it got wasted for too long.

Sad to read we will lose two valued members of the forum, both have been instrumental in my recovery.

I wish them well and hope that nt does get some answers, you sure earnt them.

No bet today, the odds don't change!!!! No were near enough!!! Not for today.
