Look. We do not understand gambling addiction or what triggers us to get up and go. I have been stuck on explaining about dopamine kicks and levels of chemistry that no normal person can resonate with properly.
How would you describe addiction to an addict who does not know what is driving them to it or a family member that does not know why any of this is actually happening to their loved ones?
Here we go (and you are going to love this) Fight!! Yes that is it, is just like getting into a fight.
What happens. You loose your self control. You go all in and you simply do not think until you won and settled it or you lost it all and walked or crawl away wondering what happened to start with. All the emotions comes after, just like in a fight and all the guilt and remorse shows up.
It is headless action. And that is the best from my point of you, and correct me if I am wrong, the best possible way to explain the action of gambling to people who know and to people who do not know anything about this addiction.

So true. Its scary how my emotions and realisation sets in AFTER.
