Thanks slow appreciate that
Interesting ive never had one of them emails !..be nice for it to be recovery focused for tonight anyway..as sometimes it does get silly and people just talk about their day and dinner. However i still would encourage other chatrooms day/times to allow others to discuss other issues that could impact their gambling ..maybe gamcare could do a mixture ? 🙂Â

See you all at 8.
I do take your point on board
Sorry SB forgot to put your name but like I said I do take your point on boardÂ
Hello all,
Â
May i chip in?
Â
Gambling addiction is a symptom to underlying issues so its important to dig deep in those feelings/triggers. Some struggles emotionally, some for medical reasons, some family, PTSD and life in general. I dont see it wrong discussing all those issues. I also don't see it being wrong having a banter on chat...sometimes its just what one needs and if all chip in, the day is a success for all huh..
Â
If person has questions or a newbie joins in, as Stacie said, we all jump in to assist with advice regarding blocks and so on.
Â
Recovery is adjusting to new way of living/thinking...of course it will include hobbies, lifestyle and new thoughts..in my opinion - embrace the variety of subjects you discuss..gambling has never started with and urge only.Â
Â
Its all about balance and meeting everyone's needs, i know its difficult to adjust for everyone but that's why we have chat mod there to steer us to the right direction when chat starts going the wrong way.
Â
None of us are perfect and we all are different. Individual struggles..i dont see why we cannot discuss and support each other regarding them in chat?

Enjoyed reading all the posts and taking on board everyone's differing points of view.
I go along with what SB (Sandra) has written in her excellent post.
Best wishes to everyone.

Apologies i didnt realise, i told a joke when i was in chat tonight!
So is it wrong to come on and get help if you are struggling with others things as  life is difficult and my gambling as a big impacted on my life am I on the wrong site as a joke can put a big smile on my face and just chatting about life can help I try to give advice but I don’t think I am qualified to ScottyÂ
Hi all,
Please be assured that our priority is ensuring Forum and Chatroom is a positive environment for all. Of course, we encourage and promote talk of recovery first and foremost, but we also acknowledge that conversations may naturally drift or go off topic.Â
What we do not accept is unhelpful comments about/to other users, or just in general as they can affect what is otherwise a supportive and positive environment which yourselves and other users benefit from.
Â
Kind regards,

What i shared on here is what ive personally felt helpful..everyone is different and suit in different enviroments. I dont fully disagree with what your saying as the beginning of chat tonight was very recovery focused and new users seemed to get a great deal of support.Â
Anyway just want to wish everyone a gamble free recovery ..we have differences but i still wish everyone the best

I posted a topic..That's all. Some agreed, some did not. It was my thoughts, my opinion. Everyone is different, and from all walks of life. I did not say let's build a nuclear bomb and drop it on the world? I did not say what people can or cannot say. The topic was purely my own thoughts..yet has created the Salem witch trials all over again. I agree with SB topic "drop it". Chips are for eating. .not for wearing.Â
Affected by gambling?
