Still here Phil thanks, just not active in posting. Gamcare helped me, as did you and others, lots of positives, however, for me lots of negatives as well. I've smashed through the 200 days now and i'll keep smashing. Life has certainly improved and without people like yourself and Julie 35, i wouldn't be where i am now!

Well Hi Gamcare world.

I'm now 388 days into my journey and needed to log in to post some words.

I've re-read my journey in order to remember, i needed to feel the pain and the upset that i caused. I needed a reminder.

So in 388 days how has my life evolved.

I'm still in debt
I'm still Married
Everyone who knows i have a gambling addiction has been supportive
I still have thoughts to gamble
I am a better person
I have realised what i could have lost

Have I overcome my addiction?

NO!

I have learnt to live with it, i'm living with the constant advertising content on TV and the internet, i have even had many companies start emailing me and texting me offers to join. Many whom i chose to ask them to ban me for life.

For all those feeling low or despair at the start of their journey, have faith in yourself and follow advice from others.

I owe my life to some on here, those kind words in my fresh days of becoming a member, the diaries i read of people who had months or years behind them. I dreamed to be saying i have done a year and i shouted it out to my family as i was proud i got there.

Much love to all

Thanks for your comments Julie and sjw.

Julie i'm good and well. Hope you are to and your still following that dream.

Simply amazing how life has changed my mentality is massively different.

Can't believe when i read my diary back and see what i was what i had done and how bleak it was and felt. Near 400 days now. Madness.

1622 Days gamble free

You can do it!

Some days are still hard, especially with things like the Euro's and Wimbledon going on, just walk away and think of the other losses, not the money loss, but the integrity and your loved ones and any possessions you could lose to being in debt.

Hold strong!
