Oh Fello!!!Â
I hope you are making it into work right now. I’m heartbroken to read your post and wish you so much strength, love and light to get you out of the relentless cycle that so many of us are in.
I am presuming you have a phone and internet;.Â
1. Try to install Gamban (software for your phone)
2. Sign up with Gamstop (restricts you playing/ opening any accounts on any online sites registered in UK)
3. Go into all local bookies/ casinos etc and self exclude.
4. Sign up to Sense (self excluded land based casinos).
5. Close any EWallet accounts (PayPal Neteller etc).
6. Call Gamcare, they have 24/7 support and lovely advisors that can talk to you and help you come up with a plan.
7. This has really helped me. Make a video recorded message on your phone to your future self. Show your current situation and living conditions. Cry, scream pour out whatever you feel right now and whatever you want to say to future you. Make it as raw and real as your situation right now and make sure you say in the video that if you’re watching the video, it’s probably because you are thinking about gambling… And then beg yourself not to. This has helped me no end. I did mine a week ago and I must have watched it 5 times already. It brings me to tears everytime I watch it and I decide against gambling.Â
I truly am so sorry you are going through this and I hope you choose life! This is a blip Fello and it doesn’t define you. Don’t let those greedy guzzling casino bosses win. Please keep fighting! There are so many of us here fighting with you.
