Ade you have beat me with your quote.

"It's always good to look back, but never stare"

been racking my brains for hours definetely came across it but cannot remember where. Have been searching through books and still cant find where i know it from. Also downloaded your game 2048 and not stopped playing last few hours. High score of 5208 but hope to smash that again soon.

Enjoy ur weekend mate and hope your daughter is feeling better

When you say you had two fat ladies, I hope you're talking about the birds ;-). The weekend dares to show its face once more, not too long to go till we're back in the saddle, but for now I've got a cheeky drink in hand!

Glad to read gambling isn't showing its horrible face in your thought once again, keep up the good work!

Hi Ade

many congrats on Two fat ladies, only 2 days to top of the shop...as for me I'm just off the bingo board heading for the ton.

Ryan mentioned double entendres which reminds me....last night the barmaid in my local asked me....Ginge do you know any jokes with a double entendre...I said yeah.....then I gave her one.

have a great gambling free day mate....Ginger

Thanks for the posts Ginge, Sandra, Juuuuuuuune and Suzanne.

Have navigated today safely, although I did have a minor wobble when heading into town earlier. But managed to banish those stupid thoughts that had somehow managed to get me walking in the direction of the bookies with the intent of gambling. The time was 2:50 P.m, and I'm not to sure where it came from, but it proves to me that the addiction is ALWAYS there.....

Keeping strong.

Ade

Hi Ade,

Yep it's always there at the back somewhere, but they are just stupid thoughts, that we can dismiss and it does get easier to dismiss them as as recovery gets stronger and stronger, just have to stay one step ahead at all times.

Have a great evening with your golf balls, today will have made you even stronger.

Cheers ade glad you walked on by the bookies. It is just habit especially at that time of day. Have had a busy today just sat down to watch city and newcastle game with a few corona. Bought myself a new pair of gazelle the other day with money im saving. Have always been into my clobber but the past two years i have really renewed my interest which has coincided with me losing interest in gambling. Couple of cracking shops in glasgow specialising in 80s gear. Think i got my first pair of gazelle down ur neck of the woods in one of our jaunts to lillywhites.

Well done for not succumbing earlier, Ade. It just goes to show that whether we are on Day 1, Day 50, Day 100 or Day 500, an urge can strike at any time with potentially devastating consequences.

Keep on the straight and narrow. I want to see you hit your century soon.
