Great post looking at the addictive nature of gambling Ade, i think lots of us will have bits or even most of it that resonate with us. For me, those thoughts about doing it differently next time, not following up bets with more bets to recoup cash do drop by every now and again, but I know what the truth is.

Well done on passing that three month mark, hope you keep enjoying those positive changes as you continue in recovery, and keep sorting out problems in different ways that does not involve turning to gambling. Still got plenty to do in my own fixer-upper, but I know gambling is just a wrecking ball for my own recovery.

Thanks For your post Ade, it's slightly worrying because i am at the contentment stage in my recovery where i feel I couldn't lose if I placed a wager...you know the feeling Ade, i just....'feel lucky'.

but i know I've got that lucky feeling through abstention so I am staying lucky by abstaining.....have a great day fella looking after those Golfballs....just 5 days to the 100 club....onwards and upwards Ginger.

Thanks for the continued support mate. Are you off down Wembley Way tomorrow or is it the boozer. Really looking forward to it. Should be a cracker of a game especially if you get the first goal.Working tomorrow but should be home for the start of the game. Dont have an English side i follow but have always liked the way Spurs try and play football which is why they maybe dont win as many tropies as they should.

Thanks Suzanne, NT, Dan, Ginge and Gregg for your supportive posts.

Today has been a great day for me. A real strong day.

Took youngest daughter to gymnastics, followed by my mum visiting for the day, lunch, bit of shopping, dinner, and now a night of TV and a few cold ones.

Middle lane stuff all the way.

Keeping strong and focused

Ade

Ade

Fella we have shared a great deal in our journeys over the past three years, addiction at times has threatened to consume our efforts and tear them up, but through adversity, you my dear friend have never lost sight of the bigger picture.

I am delighted your efforts are being rewarded, keep taking them, enjoy them for all there worth.

I am honoured to walk by your side.

Abstain and maintain

Duncs stepping forward never back.

Hi Ade,

Great stuff on your gambling free time!

It feels to me like your a different creature from the one that use to inhabit these forums... In a good way of course!

You seem alot calmer and happier and less likely to get into heated debates that go nowhere.

Keep up the good work my friend as i try to do the same.

Warm regards... S.A 🙂
