Thanks for the posts.

350 days for me today.

Gambling is no longer in my life.

I have far more important things in my life.

More physio recovery at hospital for me today.

Under 3 weeks now until I return to work... and I am in the best shape both physically and mentally that I have been for the last 7 to 8 years.

Keep strong all

Recovery is possible

It is one whole year since I last placed a bet.

Just another single day in recovery, but one that gives me a certain satisfaction for sure.

This week is quite a significant week for me. On Monday I had an Echocardiogram heart scan, as it is now 3 months since I had my major open heart surgery. The scan showed that my repaired Mitral valve is now working far more efficiently. The surgery was a 100% success! So much so, that my Cardiologist has said that I can return to all sporting activities.

It is hard to put into words just how happy and relieved I am right now. 3 long months of rest and rehabilitation, and more recently physiotherapy have got me back to a far fitter stronger person.

It puts my gambling problem into perspective for sure.

I also return to work this coming Monday after 3 months off.

Keep strong all.......Recovery IS possible.

Ade.

My friend you inspired my own recovery with a piece of writing that remains on my fridge door to this day.

For it I thank you and it's great to see it's having a positive effect upon your own life, even better to read that your surgery was successful.

Today I salute you.

Abstain and maintain

Hi Ade.

Congratulations on passing 1 year gamble free. There have been times reading your diary when I never thought you would be able to achieve that. A massive well done to you. Keep doing what you are doing and don't let complacency kick in.

Great news on your health as well. Add in to the mix that Spurs are looking like serious contenders this season and you must be a happy man.

All the best to you Ade.

Curly.
