Hi all I’m gonna be quitting gambling from today .....I’ve had enough but I come on this site for support. I feel it for all gamblers as I am one, i just asked myself why I do it... my head comes back with I’m unhappy in life... and I use this expensive habit to block the pain, I totally zone out when spinning a slot macine it’s like a drug addiction. I realise I need to try to find happiness again. And learn to appriciate the value of money. I’ve gambled on and off for 20 years firstly starting on the 10p ones, my how things change so quickly, Ive read some storys on here and really feel it for some. Pls stay strong , take it day by day, and prioritise which bills are most important the rest can wait till you get back on your feet. I enjoyed typing this message as it’s better then gambling and the screens not so bright(lol) quite calm and relaxing and at the same time it’s making me stronger not to turn back to them machines. No more I’ve decided if I get the urge I will come and have a read as I know were all linked to the same horrible habbit. Good luck everyone and once again don’t give up the fight- we come on here for a reason and its good to vent our problems.x
