Yes its Christmas time.

Lots of premiership football. More football accumulators etc
...

It's something I used to look forward to, but now I'll look forward to being with my family.

Have a lovely Xmas all.

Hey just reading your diary and felt like I needed to post just to offer my support!

Well done on all the days you have clocked up you should be very proud and be sure to fill your christmas with all the things that make you smile and happy! Then you can remember this one for all the right reasons 🙂

I agree its such a stressful time of the year and can be quite expensive which can trigger thoughts of gambling.

Keep the barriers up and remember recovery can be a beautiful thing as much as you are having urges you are free and no longer a slave to all the things that come with addiction.

Have a good christmas!

Hi Suzy,

Those itch's can be very strong, but they are only itches, I hope you got through not scratching them, and they have gone now,

195 days today, is a massive achievement, you have worked so hard, stay strong and don't scratch,

Take care and stay safe and enjoy this Xmas Eve gambling free, as I will be doing just that.

Suzanne xx

200 days.

I am absolutely delighted with myself. Back to work today after Xmas break. The last week was the toughest of all but I survived. Thanks to all who helped me reach this milestone. The urges are gone for now but I know they will return. The kids got everything they wanted for Xmas and the slot machines got nothing from me!

My next goal is 250 days.

Take care everyone and don't give in to those gambling itches.

Suzy

Hi Suzy,

Really glad you beat those temptations in the run up to Christmas, and well done for reaching the next milestone on the journey. Temptation is one of those things that waits until we're at a weak point before they start sending the whispers. Personally, I always find they come during holidays when I have some time off (especially if they come during a bonus period at work).

Great work so far, and you know you've got the strength to keep pressing on towards that 250. Well done.
