Yes Suzanne, that is exactly right, 10 whole weeks, 70 days, and thanking you for your continued support. Long way to go but it's getting easier by the day. The feel the only thing that can let me down now is conplacancy and my own naivety, so I'm staying focused. A month to go until the big 100.

So day 72.

It dawned on me today that I haven't placed a bet all year. Now to someone normal saying something like that midway through Febuary is stupid, but if your reading this you know what I'm talking about. It's only 6 weeks into the year, yet saying 'haven't placed a bet all year' sounds so satisfying and is even more ammunition for me to continue the run.

I'm not a religious person, and this certainly is not what it was meant for so I hope I don't upset anyone but today is Ash Wednesday, the first day of lent so I can participate by giving up gambling, that's another 40 days gamble free.

I can't do it. It's not physically possible. . . I'm all for watching a great sporting spectacle just for the purpose of enjoying a sporting spectacle but this one just seems too hard to resist. What am I talking about? Money V the PacMan. Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquioa. I've waited for this fight for years and years and when its finally announced I'm in the middle of a non gamble streak. Whatever the outcome I simply can't wait for this fight, anyone who knows even half an ounce about boxing knows how big this is.

This will be a gambling challenge, but I can do it.

11 weeks today. I've been saving the money I would normally gamble and putting into the bank. My fiancee doesn't know I've started this website again so she thinks I still have he occasional bet every week. My plan is to tell her about me doing this once I've hit a massive milestone, maybe something like 150 or 200 days and then show her the savings I've made as she thinks I have none. Every penny I'm saving from gambling is going towards our mortgage that we are hoping to get in 6-8 months time once the wedding is paid for.

Life is going pretty good, I never thought not gambling could be so fun.

Blimey, March is already here, crazy to think. Very disappointed at the football yesterday to lose the cup final, but had an amazing day at paint balling (despite the pain) and didn't even consider gambling. Another Monday is upon us, my 12th since I stopped gambling. Meeting the vicar tonight to discuss the big day, which looms ever closer, a little over a hundred to go. I'm still saving hard through my lack of gambling, I want to get to £2,000 saved on my own before I tell my FianceГ© about the gambling and savings, nothing will stop me getting to the mark. Will be once I get paid in May.

2 weeks today until I hit the 100 day mark. A hundred days without betting, it's crazy to think when I was placing a bet on some sort of sporting activity 4-5 times a week. The money I have saved has been unreal, to think I used to waste all that. But the biggest thing is my happiness, no more staring at the TV thinking just effing score 1 more to myself as I didn't want my fiancГ©e to know. Making up excuses as to why watching a particular football game was important but the real reason was I had £20 on the first goal scorer. Non of that anymore. Getting to the 100 day Mark will be a huge step, but still a very long way to go.
