Day 32, still going strong or so I think. Â Keep having a few thoughts but nothing I cannot handle as the rawness of how I feel when I've been gambling is still strong.
So another day of abstinence is upon me,
Till later............
Another day completed, still free from the machines. Â
32/159
Well done. Day 33 tomorrow 🙂Â
Thanks Miss P.
Day 33, been called into work for last few days of week (should be on holiday) but it's no big drama as only working local and nothing hopefully too strenuous.Â
No urges to gamble at the minute, keep having a few thoughts but while I keep coming on here, it keeps the rawness of gambling at the forefront of my mind.
Looks like it's going to be a good day weather wise, so here's to another day of abstinence.
Till later..................
Â
Day 35 - 5 Weeks in to been free of playing the slots.
To be fair I'm starting to be a little complacent, going out of the house with cash & cards in pocket and having a few thoughts of the playing the slots although not about winning  some money, just the actual playing of the games and bonus levels.  Going to stay strong already had to go to bank twice since yesterday to pay in cheques and thought of nipping into arcades next door, luckily I've had dog in van with me so cannot leave van longer than 5 minutes.
It's always the same, the first four/five weeks are or seem to be easy for me as the rawness of what gambling does is still present most of the time, but after five weeks it's not at the forefront of my mind, not going to give in to these thoughts keep myself busy today and away from them machines.
once today is over it will be one complete month this year that I have not succumbed to this affliction.
Till Later............
Been a busy weekend, not had any thoughts of playing the slots and not really had the time, still not excluded from arcades, bookies etc, going to have to do this soon as another line of defence.
With not having gambled for 36 days now, I've done a first for this year which is not to gamble for a full calendar month(august). Â Here's to adding September to it as well, when I get by 50 days it will be the longest I've not played the slots in last 18 months.
36/159 days gamble free
A busy start to the week no thoughts of playing the machines and little time to do it anyway.
Got to stay focused and not get complacent.
38/159 days gamble free
Â
Â
Another day done,Still gamble free.
Although I've been proper ratty all day with the slightest thing winding me up, usually I would have said f**k it and headed off to arcade's for a punt, but for some reason today I have resisted and instead been cursing all day. Â Looking back on today, it's not been that bad of a day really and quite easily could have been a lot worse.
Thinking about it this is when I usually relapse and have a relapse, could be withdrawn symptoms  kicking in I suppose who knows.  Time to sort a few more blocks and keep resisting the slots.
39/159 gamble free
Â
Â
Day 40 today and not feeling quite as irritable as yesterday, going to have to stay focused and not let things get to me that I have no control over.
Not a real busy day today work wise, so need to be on my guard that I don't head to the arcades, will keep out of the way of any place where I could play the machines.
Till Later ...........
Â
Thank god it's Friday, been one of them weeks but not to worry early finish today and no work at the weekend.
What to do I wonder, one things for sure it won't involve gambling in any shape or form. Â Not sure what I will be doing as it will be weather dependant.
Will be six weeks tomorrow since last relapse, and here's another day abstaining.
Till later................
It's now six weeks since my last session on the fruit machines, my resolve to abstain is still high & I will not get complacent.
Although last night I was late home and could not get to shop to buy my euromillions ticket, so I got my national lottery account re-activated(it had been suspended for a couple of years due to forgotten password change).  They are pretty clever you have to deposit a minimum of £10 which I did to buy 2 lines of numbers and had a fiver spare, so I thought I would try one of their online scratch cards. The last time I tried them a few years ago it was just like an online version of a normal scratch card, but not now there like little mini bonus games of the slots.  I regretted it straight away as when the game started I could feel my heart rate rise & butterflies in my stomach as I rolled the dice, I had thoughts of depositing more money to try a few more but told myself no and logged out.
They are definitely designed to make you want to play again & again, set my weekly deposit maximum to £10, but from now on will just make sure I buy my tickets at the shop  only playing lottery when euromillions jackpot is above £50 million anyway, so although it is a form of gambling it is not one I have a problem with, infact it is only physical slot machines I suffer with, once I start playing I very rarely stop. Â
I have no interest in sports betting, online slots, casino games, horse racing etc for some reason it's only physical slot's.
Well here's to another day of abstinence from the slots.
Till Later.............Â
Had a few thoughts today, should I just go and have a quick £20/try a few more online scratch cards to pass bit of time, but luckily managed to abstain from going/trying. Â
Going to have to get focused again, Anyway it's another day free of the slots.
42/159 free of slots/gambling
Â
Another day, another early rise - going to get up & take dog for a wonder round car boot then back home for some breakfast.
Whatever happens's today, I won't be playing any slot machines.

Mate , this is gambling, to 100% beat this you cannot even do this.
You need to exclude from these sites too, they will hook you in believe me.
Your right HC, but I don't have a problem with lottery/euromillions  only playing sporadically throughput the year, probably 10 times max per year although I will not try the online scratch cards again, because they could be highly problematical as their pretty addictive.
Been a strange day really, woke up in a foul mood, had a bad day at work, so would usually involve a little pick me up at arcades, but not today as I resisted.
Another slot free day - 46 days out of a possible 159 left in year since last splurge
