Lucy
Is that 6 months today? Or tomorrow? when was your last bet?
congratulations in any case!
I have smashed through the six-month barrier. 183 days without a bet! Long may this continue. I am well aware that I must not become complacent so am on my guard at all times. Next milestone: Day 200.
Day 183: no gambling today.
Congratulations on your 6 months gamblefree..
Day 184: no gambling today.
Simply said
Can't wait till I'm writing that down too
Keep strong

Day 185: no gambling today.
Large electricity and gas bills received plus my latest National Insurance bill. Having a baby and needing to have the heating on at 20 degrees 24 hours per day has certainly had a knock-on effect on the utility bills. Still, I am not going to blame my baby! I shall pay all three bills tomorrow to get them out of the way.
Hi
Thanks for posting on my diary
All i can say is well done and keep going, it gives me so much hope to read this
And to boot it's good we can pay the bills even if they are a little higher than expected!
Keep Strong
Lucy
I need to attend the registry office tomorrow morning in order to register my son's birth. At the moment he is not on any big-brother data systems, which feels rather liberating, but the time has come to officially give him a name and legal identity. Once registered, it means my wife and I can start claiming child benefits which, although not generous, will help cover the cost of nappies each week. We are not eligible for tax credits anymore; the Tories put a stop to that in order to give tax breaks to the rich. We will manage, but it is a struggle as my wife's maternity pay is the statutory minimum, which is not generous, and I have a personal loan and credit card to pay off. The sooner my debts are cleared, the sooner I can start to invest in my family. I am not looking forward to covering the cost of a London nursery. It might be cheaper to resign from my job and be a house-husband!
Day 186: no gambling today.
I registered my son's birth this morning and obtained two copies of his birth certificate. He now has an official name and identity. My wife and I are now in a position to apply for Child Benefit payments at last. Money is tight and I am deep into my overdraft following various bill payments this morning. I really need to source some additional revenue streams in order to give myself some financial breathing space.
I hope those 'additional revenue streams' don't include you-know-what. It's not like you to miss a few days - is everything OK~?
Affected by gambling?
