Hi Scottie
Thanks Scottie your doing great too
Yes we know our outcome so we do choose to stay gamble free and sane even though it is over our shoulder sulking and waiting as Duncs said but each day without gambling does make us stronger and wiser
Keep strong and focused the void will fade

Another day almost over gamble free, played golf this afternoon and watched the football afterwards.was getting small urges watching the football but nothing I couldn't handle.am now in my bed as I have been sick from I got home until 10mins ago and thats without drinking.lol 🙁
Well done on staying strong mate getting through that weekend was a big achievement. Four weeks gone mate great effort!
Hi Scotty,
Well done on passing the 4 week mark! great achievement.
Just try to learn from others' experiences on here. We all have common triggers: drunkenness, stress, fear, anger, carrying too much money. Some we can control and eliminate - such as whether we get drunk, carry money, others such as stressful life events we can't. Just knowing your triggers, and mentally acknowledging and noticing when you are more susceptible is half the battle though. Selfawareness = less automatic, knee-j**k reaction behaviour.
Take care,
f x
Went to a g.a meeting lastnight.felt alot better today for it.only missed 1 week in last 4 due to work.the help I have received since walking through ga doors is unbelievable.am in this for the long hall.
Brilliant to hear you're in a good place mate. Am with you all the way on this and definitely take strength from you doing so well.

Day 31 and not a penny spent on gambling.my head feels so much clearer now and although I feel bored, skint and a major void with no betting am sure that it will improve.the g.a meetings are really helping me which is good.the last time I went to one I never went back but this meeting is 1st class I go to at the moment jusr hearing people talking about there past and helping me makes a huge difference.the last time I felt people wer judging and harassing me to stay off the bet which drove me straight back on it.keep going everyone, you can get all the things you want eventually if you just stay away from that 1st
bet.
Some very wise words today scott and you really picked me up. Whatever else happens if we stay clear of gambling we have to believe everything will eventually become clearer and better.
Thank you mate

Another good day, been working hard now home to have fun with kids and not being nervous of how golf or football scores are going to turn out.i love every minute of spending time with my kids and aint letting that horrible disease ruin it anymore.playing football for an hour later and the weather is brutal but anything beats walking out that betting shop with not a coin to my name and having to sit with wife full of guilt. NO MORE :@
Great positive post scotty mate, really pleased you are in such a good place. Yes we can still have an interest in the footy with the fantasy league without giving in to this crippling disease. We can make xmas and beyond im certain of it!
