Wow day 214, fantastic! Have a great weekend, you deserve it S 🙂
Day 217.
Weekend was a good one. Had a few too many Friday. Hungover Saturday morning. The ex and her sense of entitlement turn up at the house. Saying I am doing her out of money but she will accept my offer of a buyout, she also said to not sabotage her post (ha ha as if I can be bothered! She is robably paranoid that I will find out she is claiming benefits help on her new place despite the 33k I am about to hand over to her to buy her out).
Saturday I spent about 5 hours sorting the front and back garden, note to self never let it get in a state again! Sunday went to see The Lion King with my niece, brother his GF and my Mum. Such a nice family day. This week I am going to blast myself a lot in the gym, then I head to Dublin on Friday for the weekend to see a friend/customer and tick one of my bucklet list off....drink a Guiness in Dublin.
Happy Monday all
Matt, I am small (5"3) I can fit in your suitcase, take me to Dublin!!
You will go to the Guinness Factory, and when you come back into town from there, there is a really hip pub/dinner place called the Front Lounge, it used to be my local in our hey day!! It has classed up a bit, they do amazing food, and it is really lovely. Have a fab time in Dublin.
I am glad things are moving forward for you. This is your time.

Ha Ha, I am only taking a small case but I would if I could!
Thanks for the top tip, I am really excited and it feels like life is turning a corner now.
Hope your doing well Julie

DAY 219
No gambling, no urges at all. Had 2 big gym sessions after work, good to get back exercising properly, plus there is an absolutely gorgeous girl in there who says hello when she sees me and brightens my day lol.
Coming home to an empty house I am slowly getting used to. Decided to make a point of staying in and see how my evenings go. Still a very weird feeling.
Been given tickets to a comedy gig tomorrow night and taking a friend I have met recently in the area with me. I have seen the act before, last time I was called up on stage by them and was talking about my future wedding! My ex, her sister and her husband were in the audience that night. Life is changing before my eyes, something I had no control of but I am doing my best to embrace it.
I do still very much miss my old life (minus the gambling) but I know that is natural and will take a lot of time to adjust. Work is going well and I am very busy so that helps take my mind off things.
Stay strong everyone.
Hi Matt, I've been reading your diary for a while and just wanted to say fair play to you. You've been through a brave bit the past while and many obstacles overcome. I can always see the positivity in your posts now which will only but help your recovery.
When in Dublin go to Kilmainham Gaol if you get a chance if you like your history. Cheap as chips for the tour and will only take about 1.5 hours. Beware of the temple bar area as the prices there are extortionate lol! Lovely spot though
Good luck with the girl at the gym too 😉
All the best
Hi Sam
Appreciate your post. Yeah it has been a really tough period, not quite sure how I have got through it all especially without turning to gambling. I will write a book one day ha ha.
Thanks for the tip, I may well do that. I will report back here on Monday after my trip to tell all about it. I am really in need of the break now.
Ha Ha, thanks. I wouldn't have a clue how to approach that one but she definitely is something to look forward to of an evening, some people just have a way about them and she has it in bundles!
Take care Sam, I will keep an eye on your progress from now on.
All the best
Matt

Day 224 today.
Had such a brilliant fun and tiring weekend in Dublin. Such a great city, no strangers there, everyone so fun and friendly, I will be back! I have drunk a Guiness in Dublin (and some ha ha) so that is one more off my bucket list.
I feel like I am slowly getting my mojo back too, which is nice. Had some great banter out there so many laughs.
I appreciate all the good luck wishes with the gym "hottie" ha ha but I don't plan to be going down any paths like that, my recent experience has truly damaged me but I am on the mend. I am not actively going looking for anything now but hope one day I find myself in that place again.
Good on ya Pal,
Find the mojo adn keep going.
Stay Strong Stay G/f

I am slowly finding my feet and now smiling most days which if you had said that was possible a few months back I would have highly doubted you.
Well done on the century mate, proud of you.
Day 225,
No gambling or urges at all. I feel that really is a thing of the past. Work is going well, life is in a transitional phase. Being single and living on my own is quite a strange one but I do feel like I am getting used to it now.
Saturday I have an old friend coming to visit and to stay. We have a brilliant relationship where we can go months without seeing each other but then just pick up where we left off. I cannot wait and nor can he judging by his excited texts ha ha.
I want to say thank you to all on here, I have documented some real tortuous times and your comments have helped me arrive where I am today.
Stay strong everyone.
Matt

Hey Matt,
Glad to hear you are still going strong and that you had a good time in Dublin.
Just spent the weekend away myself in Prague (for my stag) and it really is somewhere i would highly recomend if you want a wild weekend :). It really was great to not be counting the penny's over there and just to have a bit fun.
Keep going.

Day 226
Thanks Sharon, all the support has been invaluable to me and it continues to be.
Cheers Damo, good luck with your wedding. I may head there for sure. I was due on my stag do next month, 15 lads at a Villa in Malaga, probably the biggest travesty of all that it got cancelled ha ha.
Stay strong everyone.
