Hi, I have posted on this site on many occasions and failed to quit gambling, mainly on line slots and bingo!!! I am Day 4 gamble free today and aim to get 1 week over with as a first hurdle. I am fed up of wasting money on these sites that could be spent on my family.
I often wonder why I can't stop and think its boredom, there are other things I could do with my time but the on line games always take over.
I will probably not post everyday on here as I have in the past and found it did not work for me.
Anyway taking a day at a time for now and for today I will not gamble. S x

The above statement sounds a little odd if you don't mind me saying so. If posting on here doesn't work why do you return? May I suggest posting on here as an alternative to playing slots may just aid you in your quest to stay stopped. It is your hard work that will keep your demons at bay. Only you can do this for yourself.
Hope you keep coming back and grow stronger each day. Self exclude is a great way of giving yourself a chance as well

No worries! Just an observation. No two ways are the same to get this sorted. What works for you might not work for someone else. Hope you find the way which works. I found coming on here to start with became an obsession like gambling. It did subside after a while.

glad im not the only one obsessed with this site but I just think it is a replacement fo my gambling at the moment anyway , although think I will still post every day forever so I can stay stopped , but no shame in that but saving money aswell
Best wishes to you subox. Each of us can only deal with this problem in our own way, so if it works for you - great! For me at the moment I need to come on to the site every day, and several times per day at that, to keep me motivated.
Like you, online slots (after getting bored with bingo) were my downfall and I also wonder why - I can't really cite boredom as I have lots of interests to keep me busy, but perhaps the real reason was loneliness in the evenings - we are quite an insular family and like retreating to various parts of the house in the evenings to read, watch TV etc. and left to my own devices the slots won!
