Well done on hitting over a month free! Keep going with your mission to stop.
There must be a change in the mind to really forget about betting. No more cover up stories is massive for me also. I new my partner had ideas where I was. I would go out on some stupid excuse and really have to rush gambeling to try and cover my story. Rushing was my downfall as I would loose much quicker without thinking.
Best of look with your path keeping away. The future looks great for us now.
Thanks lordlucan, just read your intro and sounds like I could have written it so many similarities to me!
But it also sounds like you've had enough as well. I've never felt like this before, never wanted to stop, but now I'm finished with it. Sounds like you are too. Stay strong and good luck!
Day 37, only 9 days to my next goal.
Went through All my expenditure with my wife for the 1st time in ten years. Feeling better about that because it will help me focus on commitments I have made to her and knowing that she now knows how much I should have every month to put in the pot will help keep me on the straight and narrow.
At 39 days today, only a week now to my second goal.
Looks like I'm going to have a little bit of money left over this month for the 1st time in years. Unless my car blows up or something else happens.
Keep strong everyone.
Day 41, had a busy day today so it's been easy not to gamble.
5 days to my next goal, feeling really confident of getting there.
Thinking about what my next goal will be, I think I'll just make it payday next month.
Good luck everyone
On day 42, just realised that's 6 weeks since I last had a bet.
Well done me.
Funny how slow time seems to go when your counting the days!
Off to work now see you all later
Well that's my 2nd goal achieved. 45 days with no gambling.
Next target is next payday, 23rd October. And to celebrate getting there I'm going out to watch the Derby on the 25th.
Wish me luck
No luck required ;0) Just keep working as hard as you have for the past 46 days. This time on Tuesday you'll be celebrating the big 5-0......although it looks like I've got a 5 day head start on you which I don't intend to relinquish :0)
Thanks PK, had a hard day yesterday, thought about gambling a few times because it was payday and the day I normally do all my damage. But I didn't so here I am on day 47 still going strong. It will not beat me.
Well done bandit, keep that triangle permantly broken, getting near that lovely milestone now.
Stay strong.
Suzanne xx
Well that's 50 days!!!!!!
Not been easy, struggled at the end of last week knowing I had money left at the end of the month and also when payday came. But I'm pleased I didn't give in to temptation.
Roll on day 100
Well done, keep up the good work.

Keep it going. Roll on those days!!!!!
54 days now, things are just ticking along nicely.
Been swimming most nights this week to keep me occupied, been tired and that helps me sleep better.
Still feeling positive.
Day 56, went out twice this weekend and would normally put a few quid in the slot machines in the club. I didn't and have managed not to gamble again all weekend. Need to get to my next goal, 19 days away now.
Affected by gambling?
