Hi Perry well done on being gamble free for 4 days!

Have you thought about getting yourself a little reward at milestones like 2 weeks, 20 days etc?

I'd also look at which organisation(s) provide counselling in your local area. My OH came back feeling incredibly positive after his first session and was even saying he was happy, I haven't seen him like that in weeks.

Day 5 tomorrow, then it'll be nearly a week! Keep writing in your diary

Another day down 🙂 off to London soon, really looking forward to it and also nervous about the game so not even thought about gambling which is brilliant!

Would have normally been looking at bets all morning and probably wasted money on the early kick offs!

Feel like I'm turning a corner! 🙂

Hope everyone has a great, gamble free day!

Day 5 and still gamble free!

Had a great time in London last night (other than the game itself) and had no urges at all to gamble, which I'm really proud of as I could easily have slipped up and put an accumulator on.

Have watched both football matches today without wanting to bet on them. Much more enjoyable watching games as a neutral and not wanting an outcome for money.

Spent a bit too much last night so really need to budget myself until payday to get me through the month and pay some of my overdraft off.

Hoping to be completely debt free (student loan excluded) by 6 months. Should be achievable as my overdrafts total around £2,000.

Will think of a reward for myself if I reach 2 weeks. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Hope everybody has had a lovely gamble free weekend.

Another day down, edging towards a week now and feeling really positive. I haven't actually missed it as much as I thought I would.

The constant checking of my phone and the inevitable mood swings after a loss are especially not missed!

Have just started reading a new book which I hope will keep me occupied when the inevitable urges appear.

Not noticed a financial impact yet but that's because I have spent too much elsewhere!! I'm sure I'll notice it after payday.

I think that's a good idea thanks GT, will decide on a restaurant once I'm at that stage.

Have a great, gamble free Monday.

Well, a week today since I've gambled!

It's gone very quickly but I have kept myself busy.

Proud of myself for getting this far, just need to keep it up!

Have a great day.

Thanks everyone.

Had a bit of a wobbly last night, really fancied the team I support (Coventry) to win and wanted to bet on them.

Luckily, neither happened, I didn't bet and they didn't win. Made me realise that this is why I've given up, as no doubt I'd have tried to win back the money lost on that game, and ended up losing a whole lot more.

Maybe that's the kick up the backside I needed to keep me going.

Oh well, another day down, on to day 8. Have football tonight so that should keep me occupied, moving closer to double digits!

Have a great, gamble free day!
