I have quite serious problems with gambling, probably everybody have who playing slot machines have serious problems. First time i was introduced to slots by my friend. It was around 8 years ago.
Last 5 years gambling for me became more serious, as I took a lot of debts just for gambling. I lost my girlfriend (we been together around 4 years), lost trust from my family, but people around me still have hope that one day i will stop and sort myself. Million times before I have told that I will stop, but it never happened. The problem is when You have debts You gamble more to win and to pay out debts, what is not true at all. I am playing on high stakes and a lot of times I won amount of money to settle my debts, but reality is that You bring all money back to casino.
The biggest step for me is to stop gambling and consolidate my debts. I have around 7 different debts and I want to make it as one and try to pay it off, but with my poor credit history probably nobody will borrow me money for debt consolidation.
The only thing I can say, never start gambling, because soon or later it will be a problem, as it is no safe levels of gambling.
Another try to stop gambling for me, let see if it will happens.

It's great that you have made the decision to stop. It is tough to do it without support though. There are a lot of things you can do to make it easier such as self excluding from bookies, casinos, and online accounts. You might also want to consider seeing a counsellor or joining a suppor group such as Gamblers Anonymous.
