chinks my magners glass to yours to toast what you have achieved so far lucy well done.

I had a weekend of no urges and i was surrounded by people playing bingo at some points, and i couldnt quite beleive it, so i sat back and enjoyed that feeling that actually you dont entice or interest me anymore gambling, i enjoy the good days and roll with the bad ones and know that "It will pass".

Keep smiling lucy.

Blondie day 35 xx

Good evening all

How do I feel ? ..........

Ok I think , still absolutely no urges still and kinda getting used to it 🙂

Work stressful at present with lots of changes happening , now a few months ago I would have come home got straight on the computer and escaped to a world where all I would do is loose heaps of money , I can remember some good feelings when I'd win big and punch the air but only with it to be replaced hours later with anger, tears , frustration and then hatred towards myself for gambling it all back !

I no longer want or have the inclination to do this , today I popped in to change and took myself to the gym , never been my thing but signed up for 12 months so I better go and I like it , even cooked myself some dinner tonight too

Ex causing lots of stresses and don't know what to do , all I want is for him to accept its gone and leave me to start over but he just won't leave it , at least I'm not trying to escape again though and just chatting to mates instead

Looking forward to some fresh air and lovely scenery next week , staying with a relative but will be walking the fells all on my own , best way , lots of time to clear the head

So today I'm ok , I'm smiling, I'm calming and even tonight feel a little peaceful in that even with difficulties I'm still bet free , have money in the bank , and just know I will continue with all my might just because it's want I want to do !

Keep strong all

Life really is alot better being bet free

Smiling Lucy x

Hi ya,

Quite wish I was coming with you. Not with you with you, you could walk one trial me another.

The peace and quiet, the time to yourself, sounds like my idea of heaven

Hopefully you will return , recharged, reenergised, resolute about what to do about your ex. And any other positive words that you can think of that begin with re.

Answers on a postcard please ...........

Hope this post helped start your day with an even bigger smile than usual

Dusty xxxxxxx

Good Morning World

Woke up this morning alot brighter than the last fews days 🙂

Last night a friend had me laughing so much with his warped sense of humour, just seeing him on top form and starting to live again made me feel sooooo great!

Yes life is tough at times and many many things are sent to try us but remaining bet free we can see so much clearer and then have the resolve to find solutions to those problems.

Today

I will smile

I will laugh

I will feel better

I will find a way to solve the difficulties with the ex

I will be hot today as the sun is still shining

I will be me, the good, honest and lovable person that i am!

Keep Strong all and have the best bet free day

Smiling Lucy xxxx

Good morning to you too Lucy, and judging by your post its a good one for you. Thanks for your post on mine, your words of encouragement are always very welcome, and do me no end of good. Sorry that things with your ex are still rocky, but stay strong and he will get the message one day. Just like us with the gambling, the penny will drop eventually, maybe his penny just needs a wee shove in the right direction !! lol

Good to hear your going away and getting the break you so deserve, it'll do you no end of good to be away from your own four walls for a wee while, time out is a great medicine.

The weather here is awful today, we have mist and drizzly rain, but in my heart I am sharing your sunshine 🙂

Have a good day, no rain on your parade !!

All the Best

Cameron

Phew, I've just read your diary from start to end, and it's quite a journey. It's great to hear you are successfully fighting off the urges, even when they are strong, and it does get easier.

I've just reset the clock on mine, after having 3 free years. The really bad days for me aren't when the urges are strong, it's when you DON'T resist them. You are managing to tell them to f***f, and that is brilliant.

Hello mate,

Sooo good to see you doing so well and coping admirably with any s**t that life throws you.. !

I tried the gym thing also, although my resolve has wained somewhat! Need to get back into it though cos my fitness levels are poor to say the least!

I just had a nice weekend away and just know that you are going to benefit soooo much from yours... hope the weather holds up for you buddy!

Good to see you back to your smiling best - long may it continue!!

xxxxxx

Hi Lucy,

Life is such a crazy journey. So much good ,so much bad. Yet it the end life is such a remarkable gift that we have been given. I really like the way you count the little things in life. Like the sun or just a smile. So much that's good and beautiful gets overlooked everyday. You are doing great not gambling and should feel very proud of that. It's a huge positive.

Just keep doing what you're doing and good things will come your way. And I can see what a good person you are. You deserve it Lucy.

Always wishing you the best,

Chris
