Hi mate - thanks for your post. Every now and then I drop by and look at the updates. I marked your birthday date in my diary as it is special. whilst I don't offer the support to others like you (respect) our approaches are very similar. I enjoy every day I don't gamble, it is enhanced further when you (and others) also enjoy another day gamble free! I genuinely draw strength from all on here who invest their soul in fighting the urges so I will continue to look in on you and ensure i join you in enjoying the life that being gamble free offers!

I have been feeling a bit down this morning, miserable weather here and just one of those days where you just aren't feeling 100%.

BUT your witty and honest post about the past year has made me smile and lifted my spirits 🙂 That is what this forum is all about and I see you do that for so many of us on here day in day out.

Yeah it is great when i do get to see him its good times, still disappears to xbox after an hour with me but that hour is worth 4 or 5 compared to when i was gambling, the boy is growing up, becoming a man no matter how screwed up our life has been we both have done a great job raising him, never hear a bad word about him.

Now i actually had a bacon and sausage MUFFIN this morning but i decided to use the word barm as i did not want to cause confussion.

And stop encouraging Loxxie with a count down you say 14 days i say 16 days, confussed i am. my last bet day is 23rd Sep so 24th Sep was the first bet free day, i might have to change my date on here to the 24th and ive not even started on the confussion of the leap day, thats a whole other matter.

hi alan, if there is one thing that drags u up when you are down and that is you, if i never meet you, in my darkest hours/days you have been there for me, you keep nagging at me, really putting the effort in, you know i am suffering and you are trying , really trying to help me, i will never be able to thank you enough. I know its only money .................. but going forward i have to live off a small amount i can i will, its that last £K30 could have used that for my son's wedding, a nice party for me and my partner when we reach 60. unfortunately i can't work any longer hours they arn't available, and getting a new job at 59 is very difficult. i'm going to take the holiday with my partner next week, although it will use 5% of my available cash assets, and it is very cheap holiday! . Keep nagging me mate, without you and this site, i would have run away from everyone by now - Paul

Thank you both for the support this morning , you both kinda guessed what frame of mind I'd be in and you were both right , kinda not sure what happened last night TBH but if people choose to see something that I don't believe was there then so be it , I can understand people being angry when things dont go quite right but to look for a scapegoat to dump their misery on is another thing , I don't think I was alone in getting some but as I was last on the scene I recieved the full burning oil from the top of the battlements or maybe it was just my choice of winscreen company that did it ?.

Their not a fan of mine and don't look at my post's so that's fine then because they won't see this ? but to say that theire's is a diary just for them and are forced to read what I and others post seems slightly strange to me as its a public forum in cyberland for the whole world to view at any time and where sharing , swapping stories and giving support is fully encouraged by its administrators , so maybe Pen , Paper and a locked draw are more appropriate ?.

Anyway moving on , Kelly , your description of me made me have a good giggle this morning ( so thanks for that ) , Jesus like with a beard LOL , no beard I'm afraid but when attending my daughters wedding in Italy , I did get followed by a few Romans who looked cross , Dah , Dah !! :)) ( The dad jokes are the best ) .
