make sure your wife claims Carers Allowance for looking after you, its worth another £58 per week to her, the direct.gov.uk website should get you the number.

I have good news. Firstly I want to thank the staff at GC for their support. Now to my lovely friends both here and and in other parts of my life. Your prayers, positive thought and kind support have brought me the best outcome for my tests that I could hope for.

After so much frustration I called my GP. He was on the case to the hospital and the following day he rang me with the out come

.

The CAT scan was negative. This means that any cancer I may have has not spread to any vital organs. There is one polyp in my bowel that according to the doctor is a bit " dodgy ". He wants it removed although it is not 100% cancerous.

At my request I am being transferred to the Royal Berks hospital in Reading. That is my home town and I am comfortable with the support I have there. I will be recovering at a member of the families home.

My wife is a fully experienced carer and she will be looking after me. We are fortunate that we are in a position where neither of us has to work. Money will have to be managed but it is doable.

I am indeed blessed with my wonderful things in my life. A wonderful wife and family, good friends and no real money concerns. Perhaps it takes things like this to understand how fortunate I am and I must try to stop moaning about stuff which is not important.

Once I am well, we will be moving from Devon to Reading for good. We both want to work a couple of days a week. Keeping our hands in.

Like you said makes you realise what lifes really about. Im gonna try not to waste anymore of mine in some bookies somewhere. Take care buddy and best wishes with your health and everything else.
