Brilliant news about getting together with your son over Christmas.

It seems that you have been very busy and hopefully having a wonderful time as you have not been on here for a bit.

Enjoy!

Hi All

First of all a big thanks to Freda,wp,Want to quit,Gettingthere,Delgirl,Ade,EasyLife,Londonbloke and Viggo for all posting on my diary.

Today is 2 years and 3 months gamblefree for me and ive enjoyed every minute of it.

I must admit ive been off work since 22nd dec and im still off until 9th jan and i have thought about gambling a lot.I have been ill for over a week and just lay about most of the time so i think it has got a lot to do with the boredom.Although as you know i have had my son up until today.Just taken him back to Manchester and i really enjoyed having him.I think having him here has taken my mind off gambling a bit.Things are so much better without gambling and its good to see people signing up on GTs new thread to stay gamblefree for 2012 (great idea Gt).

I feel there will be a lot of people not wanting to say they have gambled and i think this could work in a possitive way. Thanks all for your continued support. All the best Jeff.

Hi All

Back at work tomorrow. Its been a long break for me and i have to admit even after all this time i have had to fight the urges, this last couple of weeks mainly because of boredom.

Still i count this christmas period as one of the worsed to get over so a big well done to all who have managed it.

I am just getting ready to go to the Etihad stadium to go and watch the match and it come to me.My missus is also coming. She has been about 7 or 8 games since i stopped gambling and we seem to always win when she is there, but do you know she was never asked while i was a gambler of course you know why.,because that £50 could be spent on gambling while i was there. The ground is full of bookies but these days i just walk past them, unfortunatly for me i go next door for a hot dog lol.

Thanks for all your support Jeff.

But a buying a hot dog is far better than than throwing your money away at the bookies!

Going back to work will help you combat this boredom.

Enjoy the game today, I will be watching it on TV.
