Day 4 complete.

I went into a bookies yesterday to 'borrow' a pen. Had no urge or interest in what was going on in there.

Day 5 I'm currently at work and waiting to hear from my dad.

I'm still confident I will beat this addiction this time!

Hi Mba! Thanks for posting on my diary....every little helps as the Tesco saying goes!!! Day 4 is very good .... especially since you kicked temptation into touch when looking for a pen in the Bookies....but keep a pen handy in your pocket!!! Keep going.... stay strong and focused. I hope it's good news for you today about your Dad. Take care. Helen. X

Well....lots to report.

Day 5 is complete so onto day 6 today. I have no urges and am as confident as I've ever been that I'll beat this.

My dad had his operation yesterday and luckily had 3 pins put on his hip rather than the hip replaced and he was fine after.

Today is payday and still no urges with the extra money in my account. Am planning what I can do with my pay and future pay which is nice but paying off debts is the priority with a few treats too.

🙂

Hi MBA

Thanks for the post on my diary. Looks like we had a slip around the same time. Using the anger of this slip to fuel the fight,

I definitely find the first part the hardest so well done on getting through 6 long gamble free days.

Keep going mate, and reap the rewards with your hard earned wages

James

Glad you got through weekend ok, also good(ish!) news about your dad, hope he feels better soon

Try not to let your good work go undone mate, I have still to experience payday through this recovery so in no position to give any advice on how to get through it, ive got that ahead of me this weekend but feel like it will be ok!

Good luck to you
