Hi Castle, I know what you mean about time going by - at the start it seems to drag in but after that it flies by. Keep strong x

Hi Castle,

Thanks for the post! It's always great to receive such complimentary words! I tend to view many diaries on here and only really comment if I feel I can offer something either useful or positive for a particular individual!

Despite the fact we have in common this addiction and a common goal to beat it when it's broken down we are still individuals and we all need slightly different things to keep us going! You my friend have your daughter and wow do I get the impression she is a massive source of strength for you!

You mention time and it made me think a little about my own progress I'm still very aware of which day I have reached but I can also sense that I now have momentum and the days are now beginning to roll on! I do get the impression I will reach a moment where by I say is it 170 days or is it 177 days. I kinda aspire to reach that day. I love living this day at a time life currently but I'll also love the day where I stop obsessing about time equally as much!

I just wanted to thank you for planting that little thought in my over active mind!

Encouraged and inspired by you as always!

Flagg

Absolutely shattered done 2 early shifts in a row , this afternoon went to watch snooker at the crucible I av been to one session for bout the last 7 year's but this year was so different as always used to av a bet on it I must admit it did take the edge of it but not in a way that made me want to I still enjoyed it though , it's similar to football as I am only just starting to enjoy watching that again but don't watch half as much as I used to do

So today has been a good day see what tomorrow brings

Yo, sending those hugs right on back to you .

Snooker hay, never that good at snooker, but was a pretty mean pool hustler in my younger days.

Won a few leagues, had my own cue and an endless supply of chalk. Wonder what became of that cue.

Anyway enough of my reminiscing , hope all is good with you, think you get to see Fairy Princess tomorrow,

send her a hug from Fairy Dusty xxxxxxx

hi castle.... thax for your kind support in my diary.... every word of widsom over there means a lot to me and much appreciate every one.... I have just went through your diary properly and see how long way you have walked already... i think you absolutely correct about time and how it s passing strangely... just 9 days since my last bet (there is actually few more but i start counting with diary) and already feel like it was years ago... but just a quick gaze into my wife eyes and know demon is still here and however on the lash and starving, just a second off the guard can unleash the hell again....days seem to be months and months are like weeks, strange all... but what only important if we just keep that one day a time, day by day, we progress futher in our recovery, so we can enjoy pearlish laugh of small princesses and get a real happy life experience.... i hope you well and wish you all the best on your way... K.

Thank u all for ur kind words

Work is so hard at the moment , all jobs are timed so staff allowance is absolutely bang minimum meaning everyone has to work to there full potential not takin into account the day to day problems u run into and basically it don't happen . This is leaving everyone so stressed as there is so much to do .just done a late night last night and back on early today just had no time to post at all so will catch up later this evening

The good news is not had any thoughts bout gambling no desire whatsoever so on that front all is very good

Hi mate,

I am back. Been reading through your diary. You have done great and become a valued member of this site. I relate to your recent posts. I reached 100+ and the counting seemed less important. I have also put on quite a lot of weight. Eating to fill the hole that's left eh? Be careful in that respect. I have been watching the snooker, golf and football recently too and enjoying it again. A couple of little bets before my op. I will put that down to anxiety and boredom being off sick. I forgive myself as I know I am back on the right road again. Keep going strong my friend, you are in the right place.

Afternoon,

Sad to hear work is a struggle,

Glad to hear gambling thoughts have flown south for the time being.

Those late to early shifts really seem to take there toll on you.

Wanted to share something with you, that I hope might cheer you up when you work those shifts.

I know that your goal is to become a councillor , and that you start your course in Jan if I have got that right. Not sure how long it takes to train , but I hope sooner rather than later. Anyways I am sure you have watched the great escape, so you are at present digging your escape tunnel. Ever time you go on the shop floor and walk around more soil is dispersed and the tunnel gets that tiny bet closer to the finish line.

Now obviously you do not have to dress up as a German, or take that impossible jump on a motorcycle ,but every day you wish to escape , you have planned your escape route, now dig man dig .

No I have not been drinking, no I have not lost what few marbles I have. Just want you to keep your eye on the prize when it is all getting you down , or you are so very very tired

Hugs,

Your own special nutty fairy xxxxxx
