Hi Stop
We are following a similar recovery plan. My last bet was on 11/11/13 so I am now 286 days gamble free. Well done on your recovery so far.
After having a few urges this weekend I just wanted to get your thoughts on what you do to keep gamble free.
Thanks
Stu
hi stuart I just try to keep busy and go to the gym and swimming and what is keeping me going is that im off to lanzarote for a week on 7th September so I cant afford to gamble I need the money for that.
I get urges to want to gamble I would love to win 200 or so for my holiday but I know I could easily loose 400 so is it worth it not really.
its been 247 days since my last gamble I last gambled on 27th December 2013 I know that if I don't place a bet I cannot loose any money I need to for get about winning money because that just isn't happening.
Hi stop,
Just wanted to call in and comment here before I get my head down for the night -247 days is excellent congrats !. I wanted to let you know that it's a real help to read diaries like yours, as a first timer here who is petrified of a relapse, to know that you *can* make it this long and keep strong gives me a lot of hope.
Thanks for posting and keep up the good work !

I broke out 17 days ago and lost 600 on roulette,
I feel terrible I nearly made it to 10 months of stopping gambling. my parents don't know and I don't want them to find out this time. I really need to find a job ive been out of work for 2 years next year in February.
Oh dammit... thats so horrible to hear you gave in to the roulette after staying almost a year clear from the game.
It's so bad and mean to us. I'm still clear for a while myself and it's been a while since I last was on here and it's good to see your still around trying to rebuild yourself, Like wise I was out of employment long term, but only started a new job 2 months ago. Hopefully you can get back into work, even if its something temporary.
Hi Stop,
Sorry to read you have blipped, but hey you have got to nearly a year, and you should be very proud of that.
Carry on with your recovery, you will be a lot stronger and wiser now. And keep posting it helps a lot to keep us focused.
Best wishes,
Suzanne x
Thanks Suzanne and Stacey, its been 18 days since my last gamble today I wasted 600 on roulette such a waste of money my parents don't know that I have gambled and I don't need to tell them I still have money in the bank I have 2310 so I don't need to let them know I just need to keep strong and not gamble that away as well.
Hi Stop,
Stay strong and don't let that hideous addiction have any more of your money, you know you won't win because you won't stop.
Keep posting and keep all your guards up tight.

Hi Suzane thanks for your advice Im just going to take it a day at a time and not gamble. I feel dreadful that I gambled 18 days ago.
its been 19 days since my last gamble I will never forget how I lost 600 in just a couple of days. I just pleased im not chasing that money and just leaving it and letting go.
