Hi Hanz,

Just popped into your diary and read 9 months gamble free, that is amazing and you must feel so good about yourself.

I have not done too well lately, I've had alot of things going on at home and whilst I will not use them as an excuse, I have had a couple of relapses which I am gutted about and am now back to day 3 again....

Fortunately no serious financial damage done but the thought of giving in to these compulsions has repulsed me.

Well its back to onwards and upwards and today is another day gamble free.

You have achieved so much and I am so glad for you.

Best wishes as always

Hope x

Passed a year at the start of this month. Coming up to 13 months now. I have had 100's of opportunities to gamble over the last year, I've been to casinos with friends, in bookies, down the pub with everyone on a Saturday, at live sporting events. Nothing makes me want to gamble though.

Gambling is for mugs. I used to look at the bookies, the advertising, the marketing and blame them. But it is up to you to stop.

I replaced gambling with golf, I think that game could possibly be more addictive! But you are outdoors for four hours, relaxed, with friends and having a good laugh.

I see friends "win big" and they make sure they tell everyone when they do. But I know deep down no gambler wins.

Onwards and upwards,

Hanzsolo

Hi Hanz,

What a lovely way to start my day!

You have turned your life around. Ex gamblers make extraordinary employees. They make brilliant salespeople. We don't take no for an answer!

I am on the the same Road to Recovery.

Not as far up the road as you.

But I am on the right road.

Have a lovely day,

Suzy

slipped this weekend and then chased my loses. Usual story and a few £k's down to show for it.

But that has now gone and I go again from here. This isn't day one, as that last 15 months wasn't for nothing, I realise what I can/can't do.

Unfortunately back here after a slip.

I had gone almost a year and 3 months without gambling.

Onwards and upwards

Hi Hanz,

Sorry to read that door was open, but pleased to read you have come back to the forum

As you say 15 months was not for nothing, , it's an amazing achievement, and you certainly are not back to day 1.

Onwards and upwards.

Suzanne xx
