Hi all back again.

I was doing well, focused at work ,finally getting my health issues sorted, then sat relaxing saw a advert, brushed it off ,then thought quick small deposit, well we all now how that ended up, it went very badly. I weirdly am no so devastated as previously, because I had paid all my bills etc already so not stressed about pending bills, but my account is empty,I have self exclusion now in place for every where apart from bookies but rarely go in. It's more of frustration that everything was seeming to be improving and I just ruin things by gambling.Ā Ā

Hello Robert1979,

Thank you for sharing this update on the Forum

Well done for sustaining a period of being gambling-free. It seems that you have insight into how your lapse happened and how you can prevent it happening again. A small slow escalation can be confirmation that a person would benefit from staying completely gambling-free forever (that even reduced gambling unfortunately tends to escalate for them).

It is great that you have been able to secure paying your bills first but as you are describing you would still like to have your disposable income remain in your account too. If you do wish to sign up to self-exclude from land-based betting shops in the UK (for peace of mind) you may do so through this link: Self Exclusion - Multi Operator Self Exclusion Scheme

Best wishes for getting back on track in your recovery journey,

Louise
