Thanks all 184 days now , creeping up on the 200 mark! Tres busy in work March is always a bad month , car broke down earlier in week, starter motor went, luckily the same thing happened a year ago so was covered under warranty , = happy days, i thought i was going to have to fork out a couple hundred! Actually went to the cash machine and lifted 160 odd in cash , it brought memories of doing this when i gambled always maxing out what i could take from the card, with my account and our joint account then having to transfer money across later that night on online banking, utter insanity ! Why I put myself through that sh t i;ll never know.

Generally in a pretty good place, lookign forward to badminton tonight. Hope everyone is getting on ok with Cheltenham on im sure folk are finding it tough, i've actually been watching a few races in work, with other folk but have had no incline to gamble at all which is excellent!

Keep strong all !

Hi all and thanks for the comments. 190 days gamble free, made it thru cheltenham without any real temptations which is excellent, that week was always a complete alcohol and gambling bender, with the racing on all day and normally online slots at night. I realise they were dark dark days somewhere i dont want to go back too!

Things generally pretty good, enjoying the later nights and cant wait for the clocks to change , I hate winter.

Keep strong all

Hi all and thanks for your support and comments. 197 days gamble free, getting close to that 200! A full year without gambling would be unbelievable but im not getting ahead of myself, one day at a time very much so!

Still busy in work but looking forward to Easter and a few days off.

Poor dog hurt his leg last week hes a 8 yr old lab and is limping we dont have him insured but i thinks hes pulled a muscle, he doesnt seem in pain , trying to hold off for vets as it will cost a fortune for xrays and stuff but cant let it go on , hard to call.

Also our cat Dougal went missing for 6 weeks and turned up 2 days ago, ate a huge bowl of food then bu ggered off again lol he must have found a new home, just glad hes still alive.

So its been a bit of an animal themed week.

Keep strong all.

Hey you, the little man still making me smile 🙂

Boo to hear about the dog 🙁 Our mutt cost about £70 when he made a leap for freedom out of the bath recently & that was with the Metacam which is a cure all for dogs apparently (we were also told not to let him out?! Seriously?!? Have you ever lived with a Spaniel?) & he stopped limping after a week or so. Not sure if this helps or not but they didn't insist on X-rays & most insurance policies have an excess so we weren't covered anyway! I just Googled 'can I insure an 8 year old dog' & some promising results came up...I'm just wondering whether you could afford to take out a policy now? It may be worth it in the long run.

& as for the cat, well, that's cats for you, loyal to the last 😉 You may need to upgrade your food if you wanna see him more regularly...My old Aunty (RIP) had a fine collection of 'strays' that used to feast on the roast chicken (freshly cooked) & the tins of salmon that she used to dish up!

I know it's ODAAT but there's no harm in looking to the future now that there are futures to be had! Mr Gamble can bring on the urges, I'm not falling for his bull anymore!

Marching alongside you - ODAAT
