Hello friends and fellow travellers, hope everyone is happy and well.
I feel I need a break from the diaries to sort out a few things in my mind. I have no intention of gambling and will return to the forum sometime in the furure.
Many thanks and appreciation for the support everyone has given me. There are some really wonderful people on the diaries and I sincerely hope your gambling days are over. Than you can discover the peace and happiness that is waiting for you....Stephen x x
I am having a break from the diaries ~ Love and best wishes from Stephen x x
Be safe my fellow recoverer - ODAAT
Stay safe, Stephen.
Will miss your contributions to the forum but I hope the break gives you what you need to sort things out in your head.
All the very best, Dan
Hi Stephen thanks so much for your kind words as always. You have been such a help to many but totally understand why you need some headspace. Take care, be kind to yourself and look forward to your return S x
Thank you Sharon, Dan & ODAAT, I will be back in a while.
On top of other things a friend of mine died last weekend and one of my younger cousin's is on a ventilator, having suffered a heart attack.
Life is so precious and full of opportunities. I have squandered enough of it through gambling...stephen

Very sorry to hear about your friend who passed away, I hope you are well and staying strong.
Thank you Leedsfan for posting on my diary.
Bereavement can be a sad time but as we all know it is simply a part of life. My friend was 80 and enjoyed a good life.
What is really heartbreaking is that my cousin who recently had a heart attack has been on a ventilator for 2 weeks and there is no sign of brain activity. They are discussing with his family on whether to stop life support and let him die. He is only 61 and a lovely man but I hope they just let him go in peace.
We are only here for a while so we might as well enjoy it. No pockets in shrouds so why bother with the acquisition of wealth. We only need enough to live comfortably and enjoy life's simple pleasures.
