Congratulations Bear!

I know that you, like me, have had a number of relapses but I feel committed this time and see you are too. Whilst 10 days is still early days in this long journey it is a massive achievement so I congratulate you on it and can't wait to be there too!!

Keep fighting and push on - it'll be day 11 tomorrow!

Good job, bear. Great to read you're still committed to beating this. Having slipped recently, I know it can be a pain, but we've done the right thing in focusing back on recovery. Well done, mate. Pleased for you.

Nice to hear you have a little one on the way. Just make sure you look after yourself first and then the baby will be accommodated by default. If you lose yourself in gambling then baby will have lost you too. Hope everything goes well

Hey bear,

Well done on 2 weeks. Every day counts my friend..a day further from self destruction, a day closer to freedom and peace.

Thank you Sandra 🙂 not proud yet but trying 🙂 day 15 hard session at gym yesterday good way to keep demons at bay going in afternoons now as normally when racing is on so don't think about it so much 🙂 any distraction good at this stage, anxiety been bad I'm hoping I can get back to where I was in November started to feel great after a long period away from gambling I'm focussing on that to get me through this tricky time have good day all no gambling today.

Day 16 not feeling good at all feel very anxious don't know why I think it's the gap that gambling leaves behind having difficulty sleeping no different from going cold turkey I guess?? Hope things get better soon life's difficult at the moment 🙁

Bear

Fella I do believe that when we start abstinence we have the 'honeymoon' period, when it's novel and we can see nothing but good in our choice.

Then the old itchy finger of addiction has another pop at getting you to fire the gun!!

Irony is how many times do we shoot ourselves again!!

One word for yoy my dear friend

'baby' that is motivation to put the gun back in the holster, safety on

We will carry the gun with us for life, it's about keeping it in the right place

Display cabinet maybe, something to teach the kids a lesson with, the dangers of addiction.

Keep making the right choice for you and yours

Duncs stepping forward never back.
