As I mentioned before on the 23d I will have been clean a year. I have self-excluded everywhere. What I seem to have a hard time shaking are these infernal SMS ads from online casinos promising me the sun in top-up bonuses and they make sure to mention that self-exclusion is not a problem. I am up in hundred + blocks on my mobile phone but they keep on coming and I find that pretty annoying as I am unable to protect myself from all these messages. That will not deter my resolve about this illness so "Keep on SMS blocking"! One day the buggers will give up.Â
There is an easy solution , to this go and get yourself a retro phone . i know its a throw back , but ditch the smart phone .Â
Hi c43h and welcome.
Keep focusing that these gambling dens were far from being your friends and you allowed them  your contact information.
I would change my number even if you have block lists because you will know that they are still sending those messages and sharing your details with others.
I actually feel unclean knowing I walked into gambling dens but I never gave them my home or phone details.... a secretive gambler but it didn't save me. I find that interesting because I really knew they are devious, conniving people but I gave them all my money. I knew it was wrong in a way but I was clearly hooked
I dont know if you need your number at the moment but you can prepare to change it.
My view is dont wait for them to give up...get them out of your life now.
They are simply  pushers and its a national scandal which remains legal for obvious reasons.
Remain calm and its about the serenity of letting it go
Best wishes from everyone on the forum
