nice one bud. cheers for the support. No thoughts of gambling to be honest, soldiering on!! 3 days into almost two weeks off work and for once they will not be wasted through gambling and will be used productively.

Hoping to start running again weather permitting and living more healthily as sure it will be of benefit

No problem Boro hope you are dealing with your little blip and gamble free today. If you need any extra support or can he;P in any way let me know 🙂 Had some bad news that has coincided with me stopping gambling which i'm struggling a little to deal with at the moment but pleased to say whereas this would have led me back to gambling previously I have and will not go back there.

Just making a start on a 4000 word essay happy monday!! it's certainly testing being a non gambler but i'm hoping when I look back in a few months time I will see my progress. for now though one day at a time. Today I will not gamble.

Day 27 today one day short of four weeks 🙂 finding writing things down on here is making things easier. 1000 words into a 4000 word essay amazing how much clearer my mind is and how much more productive I am without gambling.

Cheers Suzanne 🙂 4 weeks of recovery today! time flies. Also 50% of my essay done in less than three days mind is so much more focused and clear which would not be the case if I was still gambling. Looking forward to being paid before Christmas and reducing some debt.

Patience, keeping barriers up and taking things one day at a time remains the key!

Day 29 is a good start mate long may you keep it that way. Roulette is my downfall the buzz i get from playing it is unbelievable i dont think its even about the winning its just playing it. I can have a bet on the horses a small amount if i lose i alway try to get it back on roulette then a small loss turns to thousands

Feel sorry for you being a liverpool supporter this season they are pretty poor and no chance of finishing in top 4 unless a miracle happens and baletoli starts scoring lol

haha for a number of years I was hooked on the roulette spinning large amounts without even flinching, memorising where every number is on the wheel and not being able to look when you press spin because you can tell what number it is going to be! i'd gamble on football, tennis, horse racing dogs, probably even pigeon racing if i could haha. The money wasn't really important in the end it was the buzz, planning a day of gambling, an escape from life, but it only made my problems worse to the point where I was feeling suicidal and empty and worthless. Got quite a lot of debt but it's manageable and it's good knowing it's only ever going to come down.

Christmas is a tough time as I struggle to remember not spending the majority of the month gambling and taking christmas money to the bookies on boxing day how stupid is that! but im here surviving and so glad i'm finally beating this I dont ever want to go back my parents have said they have noticed i'm a lot calmer now i'm not gambling and my money is going a lot further than it ever has!

I'm looking forward to seeing the real differences in myself in a few months time higher self esteem no debt and hopefully a first in my degree but as ever remain cautious and take it one day at a time

so far so good!
