Hi everyone, first time on for me in the forum. I joined a week or so ago. I logged in because I thought chat was on and wanted to see what it was all about. Day 4 for me free of online slots. My partner has gone out and kids are in bed and normally I would be playing. Have blocked gaming sites with K9 and feel twitchy but good to know that when I wake up tomorrow, the same amount of money is going to be in my bank.
Good luck everyone with your journeys. Any tips welcome! I've been gambling for over ten years, five years serious. This is the first time I have ever tried to stop and have admitted some new lows to my partner. Onwards and upwards!
Masterclass by Italy Mr Swordfish. I love Italy so much. Art of defending continues to reign. Great positioning. And what you need to foul someone take the yellow card. Superb from Giaccherini and Candreva.
Typical smash and grab hard fought victory reminds me of my beloved palace take care mate
Just read through my previous diary on this site a couple of years ago! Massive cringe! I was not ready then! Not ready at all!
Hope everyone is ok
Day 31
Gamble free
I will not win because I will not stop
I know I'm new. Is there any words of advice? i would really appreciate it x
Hi Jodie,
The first bit of advice would be give you is to start your own diary, if you go to the recovery diary page and scroll to the bottom you can start your own you will get a better response.
I see you have K9 which is a good start as long as you didn't set your own password.
If you haven't call Gamcare they will give you good advice and maybe you could look into counselling.
A key part for me was telling people close to me, breaking the time, money, location triangle.
I have found GA a great help
But I go back to my first point start your own diary keep posting and sharing the good and the bad days and read lots of other diaries lots of great inspiration out there
KTF
Hi everyone. Had a good councilling session last night. Got her to read some of my diary and she was very impressed at my progress, and to be honest I am also very impressed with myself. Over a month gamble free now. Never thought I would say that. I'm happy and content. But I will never get complacent. I must keep the horror of gambling at the front of my mind and never forget it. As the saying goes, keep your friends close but your enemies closer. I will never forget what gambling has done to my mental health my physical health and my family. That way it will keep me motivated to never do it again.
Day 32 gamble free

Well done at reaching over a month gamble free! And well done for contributing to the forum and chat so much over those days. Keep the faith.

Hey gaz not sure if it's raining where u are but why does it always happen on the bloody school run will have footy on live pause till I get back!
Ended up being able to watch the football as my missus sorted something out for the school run for me.Being a palace fan I was gutted for Wales having three of our players in their squad but I'm English so..... Just watched he Northern Ireland game... What a result for them. No urge to bet at all today. I'm really happy with myself for that. Enjoying the football for what it should be.
Day 33 gamble free
