I’m on day 11 of gf I feel like something as just clicked and I feel I have woke up to reallity my daughter as admired to being a heavy gambler it as been going on a few years I don’t no why but because it was a big focus in our lives I then started to secret gamble myself for a few years I think I should have done entirely opposite but I think only way I can make sense of it is I felt out of control myself and that I was unable to help her and did not no we’re to start are what to say to her so after a few years have ended up the same myself but no more I have woke up and decided that is it for me and it is time to help her as I am really worried about her any advice or suggestions or can anyone make sense of all this thanx x

So happy to have you on this platform. Please continue to come back and share your thoughts. Your daughter admitted she has problem and its a massive step forward. What I would strongly encourage you both to do, is to sit down and share your feelings with each other. Fun ends up with lost control and miserable spiral down to abyss.

It's good that you decided enough is enough  there is a lot of help out there to help you and your daughter understand the destination out of control gambling leads you eventually and find the way forward not to go down that path.

There is hope and you are not alone.
There are self exclusions and blocks to armour yourselves from regretful choices. There is support and help/understanding. There are meetings, etc...
