What helped the most was reading the forum and updating and re reading my diary in the initial hours, days and weeks, when you feel sure your brain will never stop begging you to gamble. Then later on figuring out why this addiction grabbed me so hard. I figured it out and since then I don't have urges at all.
Starting a new job next month, two and a half days a week. Turns out when I don't gamble, I can afford to semi retire. Happy days
