Hey,

I never gambled in the past. The last year or so I started gambling a little. Not much though.

Then my friend died and around the same time I found out a family member had a gambling addiction. After this I started gambling loads more and it’s all I can think about.

I’ve slowed down a little now but I still feel s**t that I’ve let it take over me. I’m sure it’s all related but I’m generally feeling happy in life so it’s confused me.

am I just wanting more money in life or am I numbing the pain or chasing a feeling?

thanks xx

Hi

Thank you for your question.

In the old days people use the reference getting a buzz from Gambling.

Some people might think it is fear based, and the adrenaline comes out of our fears.

I found that I in time was able to abstain from gambling yet did not go for long.

Then I got to understand my emotional triggers.

Each time I went back to gambling was an emotional trigger.

Then in time I got to understand that for me recovery helped me hel my pains.

So from entering the recovery program I to to abstain and in time got to hand over my finances which made it easier forme.

The being in recovery I got to understand of being accountable to my self and to become more productive.

I started to write down my needs.

I started to write down my wants.

I started to write down my goals.

I learned to be more patient and tolerant with my self.

People who heal their hurt inner child get to stop lying, and werre far aware of our own awareness and our unhealthy reactions to pains fear or frustrations.

The less fears in my life the healthier I become.

Loss of person is painful.

As e became more aware of our self we reduce our fears and open up to healthy intimacicy when we want or need to.

Find healing peace and a healthy life just for today.

Hi,

Gambling doesn’t just happen, there is always a reason and lead up to it.

It’s a great form of escapism so you’re probably just trying to block out those emotions you don’t want to deal with.

Eventually, it wouldn’t matter how much money you won, you won’t be a winner and you won’t be up because you’ll put it all back in again. You could bet the value of a house, win double and still want more.

if you want to stop, then get all those blocks in place and seek some help / advice.

I gambled all day and everyday and never thought I’d ever be able to stop. But as of today I am 273 days gamble free.

Good luck on your journey,

Claire x

Just need to stop put all the blocks in place gamban gamcare and most importantly if you use the bookies moses if in uk .your own self esteem of saving the embarrassing effect of using moses and then trying to enter a bookies only to be ejected will be suffice and even if you manage to go under the radar and manage to win it will flag up on their facial recognition especially at l*******s and you will be escorted from the premises with not one penny win lose or draw as you have broken your pledge in legal terms not to enter the premises to gamble .their is only one winner when don't gamble and that is you .its not worth the devastating toll on your life it only brings mental and physical symptoms also .and by the off chance you do win.its only ever a loan from them to you .oh believe me I have been their got the t shirt so please put the blocks in place their is only only one winner and its not the gambler
