Competition sites fast becoming a new outlet for people with problem gambling.

Competition sites need to be put under the same kind of responsible gambling procedures as casino sites do. Let's discuss.

Yea I mean look unless the British government completely outlaws any form of gambling ( which will never happen) you are always going to have some form of it 

Raffles , lotterys , bookies , casinos , paid entry competitions 

The list goes on and on

At some stage the user has to take some level of responsibility and accountability 

Gambling addictions are real but so is control and recovery its not some incurable disease 

Modern society places too much on this notion of " there must be something wrong with me" "someone needs to fix it for me"

Help does usually have to start by helping ourselves

Completely agree

I've been entering itv and heart competitions.

I know heart has a maximum of something like 45 paid entries but at £2 a entry that's a lot!

But it's how they make they're money I guess. I've spoken to my mobile phone company and told them to block any premium rate numbers or messaging services.
