Well, I did it.
I have not gambled for almost 7 years and until recently have been able to manage it fairly well.
Going through a bit of a tough time at the moment and the urges have reared their ugly head. Smacked me right in the face to be honest. Now I knew full well that I should self-exclude, install blocking software etc but for some reason I couldn't bring myself to do it. Needed to know that my 'comfort blanket' was there if I needed it.
Anyway, and after much arguing with myself I have registered with GAMSTOP. Not done the other stuff I need to do yet, but I guess its a step in the right direction.
If you simply need to block yourself, then it's probably one of the best methods. There are still ways around it though, so you need to also be wary when your mind goes that way.
Affected by gambling?
