Yes I did, I benefited from it much more as it allowed me to concentrate on the issues that lead to me gambling in the first place. It may sound selfish but I had an hour a week solely focued on me rather than just listening to others.
If you got something out of it and then decided it wasn't an approach for you - fair play. Gamblers Anonymous isn't for everyone. The main thing is you aren't gambling. Whatever works for you day to day.
