Hello Chip Thief 91,

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you have realised that poker is a big preoccupation for you and you are wondering about how it might end up for you. As well as reading our forum members stories about how they have experienced problem gambling, another way to get some perspective could be to do our online self-assessment here: https://www.gamcare.org.uk/get-advice/self-assessment-tool

You might also like to look at some of these suggestions for ways to shift away from the preoccupation with gambling by scheduling your time with other activities: https://www.gamcare.org.uk/get-advice/what-can-you-do/changing-your-behaviour#.VCA5-fldXww

If you are based in Britain, you can call us on our freephone 0808 8020 133 to talk about your concerns about your poker.

Take care,

Forum admin.
